Confirmed for next tlc get taming it in advance to get the upper hand on the breeding market

The knock back allows it to kill Alpha Raptors and Carnos.

You can now grab small Dinos and people with the trunk. And throw them! Tribe members don’t take fall damage. They have a drumming buff now and a roar to debuff.

Me and my friend fought the ragnarok boss with these and it actually went pretty well. Don’t underestimate the mammoth!

TO COLLECT WOOD: Do the jump attack (space on PC). It’s still amazing for wood people!

If you look left while using the primary attack the animation will be shorter.

Secondary attack is better for wood in my experience, it also deals more dmg but has a longer animation.

Overall very good mount for wood and berries.

For wood, put on raft with large flat deck. You and your buddy drive through the swamp, swinging away. Raft has no weight restrictions. ENDLESS wood, thatch and mushrooms. Careful not to push off, go slow. It adds up fast, regularly took home 10,000+lbs of materials.

I've always said that Mammoths harvest berries better than the Bronto, they're faster and easier to ride

Good watering can, can spray water onto plots if you soak them in the water. Also they can wear hats and I think it’s cute!

On mobile they can wear hats making it a good combat mount give it a good flak helmet and your good to go

take with you a Pteranodon, your best clothing, some health brew (you can get the recipe by killing raptors or other predators easily) so you don’t die in the cold, tranc darts, narcotics, and root carrots you can easily farm in a medium sized plot.

Fly to the snow biome

Find a group of three, which is easy.

But make sure they kill any wolves or whatever would hurt you in the taming process so you don’t have to deal with it yourself

After everything is clear, kill the two mammoths you don’t need.

Then fly on a ledge and you’re all set.

To boost your taming rate, go caving wit a raptor/whatever and get smoothing balm for 10x rate

You might die the first time around by those guys who junk out of the dirt (I did lol)

Some people say that because it can carry more wood than the beaver, it's already better than it. Well yes, but actually no. The Beaver still gathers more wood than the mammoth can even if the mammoth can carry a lot more. It's a lot slower to farm wood with a mammoth. Solution? Take the beaver and put the mammoth on follow so you can take both of them for gathering wood. Easy 30k wood per 10 minutes.

One of the best tames u could actually get,their saddle isn’t hard to get in terms of level nor ressources,they gather decent amounts of thatch and huge amounts of wood,they are really big and have a decent speed,faster than the trike tho,the stamina is better and it is well balanced in its stats

As to a posed of the Giant Beaver, this creature has a bonus where wood is x0.25 it's normal weight, combined with its large carry weight it's the best option for gathering wood. Ps: Giant beaver ' s mod. is x0.5!

i HATE castorides, i’ll always go for a mammoth, first time i tamed a castoride she ended up not being relevant or needed watsoever, (she was not a B O N D). second time i tamed one my monkey, Macaque was killed. LITERAL DESPAIR

also, for me, they don’t harvest that much wood and even if they do, they weighed down by it.
