How are you supposed to tame it

on lost island the eggs are super easy to get. me and my friend just ran in with no movement speed upgrades, ran past the magmasaurs dodging the fireballs, grabbed the eggs and ran out.

admittedly it took a few tries but once you get an egg you are good to go

Maewings CANNOT feed a baby magmasour they will starve to death.

If you are on a boosted server use a giga with a good saddle and kill everything and everyone and proceed to say get sh1t on it worked for me and I came out with 30 eggs

To Kill a magmasaur easily you need to get a fabricated sniper rifle and upgrade it and get like 200 ammo now you can kill a magmasaur easily
