One Ambergris gives 500 food and at beginning they eat a lot

If trying to get eggs use a bloodstalker [thats what I recommend if your good at using them and have high health.] And district the parents and get the egg and get the hell out of there

Like it’s predecessors, the Magmasaur is a simple “Grab the egg and get the hell out” tame, however this one CAN be breed with each other, but only in lava. Don’t bother trying it on Val or Rag, as it won’t work. The only lava source it works on is Genesis, so build a base near lava if you want as many Magmasaurs as possible.

Tame a archeoptrix in the ocean se spawn I used it to fly all the way down to the eggs cryo it used parachutes n grapple easy they don't take much to tame I have loads now I call them my super pigeon lol

Food consumption is about 10pts/1min. Making 600pts/1hr.

If you have a space whale, you can use it to produce the ambergris you need beforehand and during taming. I hope this is helpful.

So I suggest going in on a high level blood stalker so you can just swing down and pick up an egg then go back to your base or get out of render distance and come back. You could also use a high level ferox and feed it some element jump down grave an egg and climb back out and go back to your base but a blood stalker is better.

You may have noticed that unlike any other steal and hatch tame, magmasaurs can deal damage to you while you ride your mount, SO THIS IS HOW ITS DONE!! You get a ferox lvl 20 (higher if u can but dont name it... you'll see), then you lvl him in health, 500 in small form is ok, after that you have 2 ways:

1)KAMIKAZE(bloodstalker needed or some skill woth grappling hook); you transform your ferox and whistle him to riot right into the nest, the point of this is that all magmas use their magma bombs against him, so you can pick up your eggs and get out of there (its called kamikaze, dont make me write it)

2) I'LL TAKE YOU ALL ON; transform him, whistle attack, riot 1vs4-5-6, and then you charge with your highest dps dinos, lava doesnt do as much damage as on other maps, plus you can stay at the edge of the lava and you'd be fine, i used 2 rexes mated boosted w 7k health and 500 mele and i got out with everything alive and 6 magma eggs, you can use allo packs or spinos too. I prefer taking a high health procoptodon in there because once u have taken the egg u can just jump out and go

Getting these guys eggs is a walk in the park if u know how to use a bloodstalker just land on the egg pick it up and slingshot to the top of the cave.

For some reason these guys don’t really seem to detect blood stalkers so they only time these guys get pissed is when you get off not when you hit it. Go into the cave on a stalker that’s got some good health for you’re server and get off, get the egg, book it back cause other wise you’re doomed.

Small tribes eu- eats 11.8 food a minute

2hours since hatch 2.1% maturation

Raise takes about 6 days. And recives .6 raise percent per hour. Btw takes 5 hours to hatch.

Snatched a few eggs using two ferox with a tribemate, had a yuty as back up to scare the smaller critters away

They tame up in the same way as a wyvern.

Its like a rockdrake you need to steal an egg I suggest a good fighter or a fast dino brcause its a hard cave

My stupid way to get an egg on Fjordur.

This can be early game too you just need an argi with very good stamina and an Anki with great health then grab the Anki with the argi and make your way into the cave (if there is a safe spot stop to get more stamina.

Find were all the magmasaurs are and drop your Anki then get there agro and fly up they will attack the Anki

Once they leave the egg spot use a spyglass to see the levels (go for a 115 or higher) swoop down grab the egg and get the hell out of there

You don't need Abergris if you give them Sulfur they will still grow even if they dont get Abergris (worked for me at least) up this if it helped you

Here is a strategy I learned(from syntac) use a fjordhawk after finding the egg you want put the egg in your inventory and eat organic polymer to respawn and keep a bed a good distance from the cave and your fjordhawk will being your stuff to you!!

Baby magmas DO eat Sulfur, however it is VERY slow. They drop at least 40 food before eating.
