Magmasaur is like a refining forge, if you put cookable item in his inventory he will smelt/cook it.

Stay still because they are the first creacher to have the sense of when you are not moving thay can’t see you and if you hit them thet deal damige back to you so if you one hit them they will deal a persentage of damage to you and your mount

If u don’t have forge get an egg with desmodus and it’s great for metal harvesting at smelting

Don't listen to the Dododex listing, Magmasaurs are the BEST metal gatherers and it is worth it to steal one. A 100 melee gets way more metal than my 500 melee Ank did. Just grab a few Pteras you don't care about and head in there. The level doesn't really matter because any Magmasaur will gather more metal than an Ank.

Also, when you get a Magma, you don't have to worry about eruption because it is immune to it.

Use pigs to heal it in tell old a noth to eat meat

If anybody is on Fjordur just tame a high level Velonasaur level it on the Magmasaurs that aren’t in the cave and then mow through the one in the cave to get your egg.

Desmodus are very good creatures to get these eggs, go at night time, hold down rmb and you'll go invisible, and then smooth sailing

Getting these is pretty easy thank to the new Desmodus Draculae dino, just go in at night grab the egg turn invisible and fly out, or even eating organic polymer suicide with a fjorhawk on your shoulder (but the desmodus is a much safer option)

There is a new bug and you in which can enable smelting with a baby and older

my strategy on Fjordur is to have a rock drake lol. the stealth is very helpful for sneaking past the fire wyverns and cave creatures (x rock elementals too) and their dmg and hp can dispatch the magmas guarding the eggs

They can’t burn wood!

If you forcetame this and ride it then it will have very low health for some reason and I don't know if it isn't just me...

For these things to grow up you need something called ambergris you can get them from the spiky rocks in luner also best to bring and get it is a mining drill and hurry it spoils in 20 min so you need a fridge

FYI ambergris is NOT the only food for baby magmas, sulfur works as well.

Don't use them to defeat Master Controller, they are strong, but they may burn you!

I use it to farm obsidian I when on one run on island map I was able to get 10k with a 200 atk a lot more than my ankys

Use a rock drake if you have one to turn invisible then steal

You Might want a Ferox or a Bloodstalker to get the eggs.

For taking one you can also use a enforcer if you have one from another world because you can use the teleport to evade the spit and grab the egg
