Easy way to get high level Magmasaur eggs Fjordur:

What you need:

Desmodus

Rifle or any form of long distance weapon

Lots of ammo ( around 200-300 just to be safe )

1. At night use the cloak ability on your desmodus to sneak into the magmasaur cave unnoticed.

2. Find the high lvl eggs ( they’re usually the most guarded eggs )

3. Latch onto the roof with the desmodus and equipt your rifle.

4. Shoot and kill any magmasaurs guarding the egg

5. Steal the egg then fly out of there as fast as you can.

Would you rather have a flying furnace or a land one that’s 10x easyer to tame. Sorry for bad grammer

They can destroy metal spikes and maybe metal structures

You can hatch it using 50 torches that’s what I did.

They can kill you off your mount, watch out

I've been looking for an hour or so and I've found 2 magmasaurs. I haven't found the egg cave yet but I'm going to keep looking. The first one I found was on the N side of the W volcano about half way up. It was just outside a cave full of chitin (mantis, scorp, centipedes). The second one was on the S side at the oil pools

This dinosaur will one shot you off the back of your mount! Be very cautious and aware! The AI in these things is actually moronic, slow and almost broken. Once you get in their face and eliminate their magma balls they crumble into ash! ;-) When your close they will still fire the cluster occasionally so be careful, you will notice the magma ‘Heat’ up just before doing this so back off if you can.

They receive damage over time in the lunar BIOm, be careful.

Tame can damage Tek and turrets!

Pull up with two rock drakes these and things drop like flies

THEY CAN DAMAGE YOU ON YOUR MOUNT, PLEASE DON’T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE AS ME😭

Damages all structures with fireball attack including tek items

Stay still because they are the first creacher to have the sense of when you are not moving thay can’t see you and if you hit them thet deal damige back to you so if you one hit them they will deal a persentage of damage to you and your mount

Use an archeo and grappling hook,makes getting eggs so much easier

Super easy to kill these. Just stay behind them at their tails and attack. They only are able to defend their fronts. They only have one AOE attack that can hit all creatures in the area with projectiles, one purple cloud that acts as rare flower, and one that heats the area around to ignite ground foes. But they use those sparingly, and are easy to kill with Allosaurs and Rexes.

If you are on a “free build, missions disabled, fliers enabled official servers” you can kill them with Argies. Just attack their backs and tails. But watch for their buddies that might snipe you out of the air from a ways away.

Run.

On Fjordur their eggs spawn in the back of the wyvern trench you can enter from a cave located near the wyvern trench on the side closest to the obelisk. I recommend a maewing with decent HP and Melee to enter near the start of the magmasaur cave. The inside of the magmasaur cave is very hot so i recommend ascendant ghillie (i am not even hot when wearing ghillie). Inside the cave is element shards (redish rocks near the back inside a nest and near the middle on a small side piece of land), crystal, metal and BLACK PEARLS!!! Nests spawn in the middle with the lava lake. I recommend to go inside the cave a strong tame (i go overboard and use a strong carch with a very good saddle doing 4k damage on max rage.

Magmasaur can destroy stone structures with ease but are relatively slow. They can be quite easily outrun.
