Da inferno de San Francisco. Sorry about that. Hey guys lord Fred here! π€π» today Iβm going to tell you how to tame arks magma dino: not an x variant, real lava: THE MAGMASAUR. Dun dun duuuun!
First off: DO NOT BELIEVE EVERYONE THAT SAYS ITS A KNOCKOUT OR PASSIVE TAME! You need to steal theyβre eggs from underneath the volcano in Genesis. I am not including fjordur or lost island. (Why? Cause I donβt have those dlcs yet. I play switch.)
Second: if you are able to locate it, be aware that the volcano can erupt and murder you, so you might want to be quick. I recommend a grappling hook or a bloodstalker. Other than that, on foot is dangerous β οΈ
As there are a lot of bugs and x rock elementals and, duh, magmasaurs. (They are not just gonna leave theyβre nest unprotected)
Finally: once you find your future unborn child, LEAVE IMMEDIATELY OR ELSE YOUR DONE FOR!!! If you steal more eggs, then heck your braver then me. Cause I donβt like risking my life for more eggs. One is good enough, unless you want to mutate it.
Sadly, this is the first part cause it will be too long, so be on the lookout for part 2! If this gets past only 5 ups, then part 2 will release.

More Magmasaur Taming & KO Tips
To breed them without lava enable mating and continuously hit them with wyvern fire
Latest patched! Now you can raise Magmasaur baby with sulfur!
Pegos are so dumb. Took my crypod with my baby 150 magmasaur and then jumped into the wyvern trench and died π

When it comes 50% age, will eat 0.1 food in sec. That mean 360 food for hour. 4000 Food enough to leave overnight. I hope I helped you^^
Iβve found the eggs. The eggs are located inside the volcano in an amethyst cave. There are lava pools with groups of magmasaurs in them. There are small islands with craters in them, within those craters the eggs are nestled within. But be careful there are lots of magmasaurs, magma, and what look like varient rock elementals.
On fjordur is you go into the cave at the end of the fire wyvern trench and fly to the nests steal one egg then lead the rest of the magmas under the bridge in that area lead them against the right wall going in with the spikes when there all in there enjoy getting all the other eggs in that area I got lots of eggs doing this

Taming/Raising
To get a Magmasaur, you have to steal one of their eggs, hatch it, and raise it yourself. To my knowledge, as babies they will only eat sulfur. However, as adults, they will take raw meat and can be force-fed to heal like a carnivore. I ran into the cave on Lost Island with nothing on several times and came out with 2 eggs. Please note: They can and will shoot fireballs at you. We haven't tried breeding them yet, but to my knowledge they can breed while in lava.
Utility
AMAZING. They can get metal, crystal, obsidian, and more really well, they can cook it on the go (Drawback: Rapidly drains hunger and disables sprinting,) they can fight, and they can cook meat in their inventory for you (Unsure if they need to be on smelting to do this.) They're also decently fast on the ground.
At full charge, their "Searing spit" (Hold RMB to charge) does high damage and a powerful burn effect. This ability requires metal ingots to use.
If you press space, they will do a taunt that enrages wild creatures. It might do more, but I don't remember. Sorry!
Extra
Originally thought they were all the same color, but I have been proven wrong! Me and a friend on a non-dedicated have 1 Magmasaur each, and I noticed his has blue tail tips while mine doesn't. This is everything I've found out about Magmasaurs so far, and it may not be everything.
Easiest thing to do is to spawn at the East zone and go to the Egg-Straction mission. Then, take the first left in the cave and you should end up by the nest. A good strategy is to wait until there arenβt any magmasaurs by an egg, then ask HLNA to teleport away, and right before you teleport, grab the egg.
On the Fjordur map, Hazmat fully cancels out the heat from the cave, be sure to let people like you know!
