I spawned this creature in with cheat codes on The Island. After testing, I made a great discovery. This creature does not take damage from shallow water or swimming in deep water. I did not have creative mode enabled, as my experiment was strict. It doesn’t even take damage from rain. At least not in The island with a cheat code. Do not hold anything against me if these claims are not true in other maps.

Really getting Magmasaur eggs are super easy because unlike the Wyverns and Rock Drake, they are limited to the ground. All you need to bring is a crossbow and grappling hooks, maybe even a climbing pick! Then descend slowly and yoink one out of its nest, then quickly pull yourself up and get back to your base and BOOM You got a Magmasaur. Do be carful of the eruptions thou, that happen randomly.

As a adult,the only other thing besides mewt that they will eat is stone,as babys,they will only eat ambergris,abd ambergris is only found in tge lunar biome

Best way to get an egg. Go in stand by egg teleport to ocean noeth beside egg . Snatch it before u tp.

A good strategy is to have a tribe member with no loot and you on a blood stalker and have your tribe member stand under you will you kill bugs then when you arrive at the eggs have your blood stalker hang from the roof and attract the magmasaurs to the opposite to the eggs then your tribe member run for the eggs then run away and regroup some where else and now you have a magnasaur egg they will eat meat and rock so don’t panic

These guys are pretty slow by themselves, have a poor turning radius unless in lava and even puff up their gullets like an angry frog if you get too close. Just shoot them in the back from behind if you need to kill one. To the get eggs however will take a whole team. Note that there are bats, centis, scorpions and other nasties in the cave. And like 20+ magmasaurs guarding the nests. Just bring a few friends, some bog spiders to distract the horde, pick them off, and bam. You got magma bois. A fun little detail I've noticed is that they seem to be at maximum power when their bodies have an iron, blueish colored tint to their bodies. Beware of this, as their lava burst attack is at it's strongest in this state.

Get a high lvl ferox and pump heath and stam, run in steal the egg and kill things if you have to.

Breeding this monster will take up to 7,77 days on official. With the spoiling timer of ambergill you'll need to comeback for about every 2 hours. Unless you want to lose your job and girlfriend, I wouldn't recommend breeding this one, altough his forge function is pretty handybandy.
