For an easy tame, wait for the Lymantria to land and then place a tent directly where he/she is at. Its stuck until the tents durability dies out, this gives you enough to build a little house around it for a safe, easy tame.

An easy was to tame a Lymantria us to use a bola on it then shot it in the face with tranq arrows or darts.

Wait until night. Then build a light source it'll be unusually attracted to it.

Bola and tranq. Do not rapid fire, wait a few seconds before next shot or it will die.

Using tent as trap to tame don't work anymore.

1. Get tranq arrows

2. Get a bow or crossbow

3. Get a bola

4. Throw the bola at the Lymantria and start shooting it with tranq arrows

5. Make sure not to kill the Lymantria in the process

THIS took me forever. Finally figured it out, I read a tip that said shoot until you see blood, I did and then beat it with a club. FINALLY AFTER KILLING SO MANY!

The Lymantria is like the Pteranodon on The Island, but it takes way more torpor then the Pteranodon. So easy taming is bola them (or wait until its landing) and place a tent on it ( DONT place the door of the tent in line to the head of the moth! It can really easy escape then. I hope I helped some of u Guys. Sry for my bad English btw.

They are moths that fart knockout gas. What’s not to like?

If you cannot make a tent you can bola it, then place a wooden pillar basically in the middle of it. Then you put a thatch roof on the pillar and surround it by thatch door frames. It will be trapped and you can shoot it without it getting away.

I tamed the lymantria in early game valguero and it was actually quite easy. All you need to do is use a bola (I used a normal one) and then keep attacking it with a club and it should get knocked out in couple of hits. However, if your trying to tame a higher level one, bring multiple bolas. The saddle is quite cheap so it can be utilised early game.

Really wish these were breedable! Would love to play with colors, such a pretty creature!

Don't attack it unless u have a plan a good one is to wait for it to land, throw a normal bola at it, then shoot tranq arrows at its head until it passes out, then feed it mejoberries or any type of berries, you may want to build a house around it to protect you and the lymantria from storms

Boomerangs are generally considered a poor choice for knocking butterflies out

The wild Butterfree has stun spore! It also has fly and toxic.

Wait until it's close to the ground to bola and if you using a crossbow wait 8 sec in between shots and it should pass out.if using tranq darts just wait a couple seconds if going for a perfect tame.

Just a hint. I'm playing extinction, I placed a tent over one, bopped it out with my club, then tamed it.
