1. Get tranq arrows

2. Get a bow or crossbow

3. Get a bola

4. Throw the bola at the Lymantria and start shooting it with tranq arrows

5. Make sure not to kill the Lymantria in the process

THIS took me forever. Finally figured it out, I read a tip that said shoot until you see blood, I did and then beat it with a club. FINALLY AFTER KILLING SO MANY!

Had a lvl 95 with 800+ health and a lvl 10 poison wyvern attacked and the moth was going to town, it didnt kill tge wyvern but it put up a hell of a distraction for me and my boys to get the stuff to kill it .......worth the tame tbh

Surprisingly the preferred mount for wyvern egg stealing. Level weight and stamina (and maybe some hp) for maximum capability. Shoot out spores as often as you can once you start being chased!

Put a green glow stick on it and fly around as a giant glowbug.

These things are everywhere in valguero (especially in the white cliffs)

They are moths that fart knockout gas. What’s not to like?

Lymantrias are occasionally found around water sources in valleys. Lymantrias can be identified from far away due to the green spore clouds that the shoot out when they are attacked.

The Lymantria is like the Pteranodon on The Island, but it takes way more torpor then the Pteranodon. So easy taming is bola them (or wait until its landing) and place a tent on it ( DONT place the door of the tent in line to the head of the moth! It can really easy escape then. I hope I helped some of u Guys. Sry for my bad English btw.

If you cannot make a tent you can bola it, then place a wooden pillar basically in the middle of it. Then you put a thatch roof on the pillar and surround it by thatch door frames. It will be trapped and you can shoot it without it getting away.

It toxin brings down wild Dino’s food. BTW

If you kill them you get a nice amount of silk

Sounds unlikely but quite true...I own a high level moth with beautiful scarlet wings. It was following me set to attack target when I encountered 3 raptors & a carno. While I was piking the rappies to death my lymantria actually killed that carno plus harvested its meat & hide. AWESOME little beast❗

Bikini Bottom thought Wormy was bad... This thing is like 100x his size.

It is weak but a must have because to get resources early you need it.

I tamed the lymantria in early game valguero and it was actually quite easy. All you need to do is use a bola (I used a normal one) and then keep attacking it with a club and it should get knocked out in couple of hits. However, if your trying to tame a higher level one, bring multiple bolas. The saddle is quite cheap so it can be utilised early game.

Really wish these were breedable! Would love to play with colors, such a pretty creature!

Don't attack it unless u have a plan a good one is to wait for it to land, throw a normal bola at it, then shoot tranq arrows at its head until it passes out, then feed it mejoberries or any type of berries, you may want to build a house around it to protect you and the lymantria from storms

If you pump Stam some weight and health you can use them for getting wyvern eggs I do on official pvp just don't meet a lightning

Lymantria are great for scouting. When using an Argentavis or a Pteranodon, seeing things can be difficult because their head and wings get in the way. The Lymantria doesn't have this problem. If you want to scout for high level dinos or resources, I recommend it. Just be careful as it is very frail.
