The most irrelevant creature in the game. Only boosting underwater drops, and only lasts 30 minutes so it doesnt give you much time to find any drops.

You need honey, and who- who the hell brings honey into the ocean? Honey expires way too fast, so good luck if you really want this thing…

Don't listen to the people saying it's useless. Yes it's a temporary tame. but it gives you a buff that increases the rarity of your underwater loot crates. Insanely useful for gear. That's the only thing it's for. Get one and go on a loot run.

The time that you have it tamed for is still 30 minutes after the update, the difference is that the mystic skin oil buff lasts 6 hours, and you lose the buff if you die, and only regain it by going near the liopleurodon again before it disappears

Has no use at all apart from luck,see one just kill it, it takes up spawn points for coelacanths which are more usefull than the Liopleurodon because they spawn in groups and therefore provides more meat.

People are saying since July 2020 the lipleurodon has been given 6 hours of time but I am still only getting 30 minutes of time.

P.S It is not stated in the Dododex or the dossier that these guys are a TEMPORARY, 30 MINUTE TAME!!!!!!!

If you are going to go drop running you should tame one of these they give you a luck buff that lasts for 6 hours.

Only worth it for like 50 minutes, it can give you Insane blueprints and drops from supply crates and sea crates

Mostly RPGs and Fabricated guns at ascendant level

(Only get them if you can actually craft them lol)

Tame it, tame last 30 minutes but increased efficiency to underwater loot drops for six hours. I usually tame it, park it near an island and make a bed for tribe mates to fast travel to. Tribe mates can share the loot drop buff by having them jump on tame themselves.

If playing ASA, install a dino TLC mod at once if this creature is in it. This creature sucks in base game and desperately needs a revamp or literally to be removed from the game. Bro we could've gotten the swarm or Inostrancevia but this, pure disappointment.

Three years later they finally made the liopleurodon buff go girl 30 mins to 6 hours about time

It's bad, it should feel bad, and Wildcard should feel even more bad. I actually got consistently worse desert drops than normal. Zero stars.

A lot of people complaining, but with this guy I found 3 ascendant rocket launchers! These are very good, even after he flew to candy mountain, I still got a lot of good stuff.

On ASA tame one and hit every drop available. Or sit on carno and farm the drops that fall there.
