So, I had one tamed on rag, but halfway through the buff timer I sadly had a death inside the ice cave on rag. So, I went to collect my basi to head towards the Island to try my luck there instead. Upon arriving the Lio was >STILL THERE?!< its tame timer was at 0, and it had shrunk to the size of a jerboa. Oh but it gets better, when I went up to it it gave me a refreshed 6hr buff timer.

“You’re not even asking important questions, you’re just putting our host down!” Sam scolded him.
“You know it’s against the law to hit someone…”
“It’s not illegal if they deserve it.”
“I don’t deserve it!”
Sam shut her eyes and turned to Calem.
“I’m sorry about what you’re going through, Calem, don’t worry, you’re not alone in this,” Sam reassured him, “We two are questioning you for the exact same reason. Our son was also caught up in this mess, and we just-”
Calem looked up and his face brightened. He pointed a finger at them and began to laugh.
“BA HA HA HA! I knew it, I knew you two were just an old grumpy couple!”
Sam sneered at Calem. Calem immediately stopped laughing, putting his finger down.
“Sorry. Um, why don’t you ask the next question?”
` “Okay, okay, has your little brother, Rick, been able to communicate with you at all after the disappearances?”
Calem shook his head.
“Nope. He wouldn’t have been able to, anyway. When I graduated, they made us put on these graduation robes. Even though they had pockets for SOME reason, they made us put our phones in lockers. Soooo, no. He has not been able to reach out to us.”
“Damn, I was thinking we could track them,” Sam cursed. Warren’s face lit up, an idea sprouting in his mind.
“Wait, we might be able to,” Warren thought, “There’s no way that ALL of them left their phones in their locker. At least one had to have taken their phone with them.”
Warren turned to Sam.
“Sam, is the crime scene still up?”
“Huh? Yeah, but don’t bother getting your hopes up. You’re just a sheriff. I’m not letting you in.”
“I guess I’ll go there next.”
Suddenly, the walkie-talkie that was clipped to Sam’s tank top began to buzz.
“Unit 6 do you copy? We’ve got reports of an assault downtown at the bar, I think you should go there and neutralize the situation now!”
Sam pressed a button on her walkie-talkie and barked back.
“And so what?! I’m in the middle of something!”
“Everyone else is still investigating Terran High! You are the closest unit to the bar, so YOU have to go. That’s an order!”
The walkie-talkie stopped crackling and Sam groaned. She got up from her seat and began to leave.
“Gotta go.”
Warren jumped up from his seat and began to run after her.
“Wait, let me come!”
Sam turned around with vigor on her face.
“No. You’re not. You’re just a sheriff.”
“Doesn’t matter, I won’t let you get-” Warren quickly cut his sentence off, trying to find the correct thing to say, “I won’t stand by and let innocent people get hurt. My last name isn’t Justice for no reason.”
Sam rolled her eyes.
“You’re so cheesy, ugh, fine, you can come. But don’t expect to ride shotgun, you’re going in the back. Like a prisoner, nyah hah hah!”
Sam laughed like a villain. and pranced out the door. Warren turned to Calem, and put a hand on his shoulder. He reached into his pocket and pulled his phone out, showing a contact list to Calem.
“Put your number here so we can talk later. I think we can figure out a lot if we work together.”
Calem looked up and smiled. He reached up and tapped his number on the dial.
“Heh, you’re right. You and that blonde lady are a funny duo, you two probably love each other more than you let on,” Calem snickered. Warren felt his other hand go numb.
“Sure,” he said woodenly. Calem finished typing, and he leaned back in his rocking chair.
“Well, good luck with whatever crime you gotta stop. Guess you two aren’t bums after all.”
“Thanks. See you soon, I s’pose.”
Warren walked out the door, and Calem peeked out the blinds of the window to see Warren clamber into the passenger seat of the police cruiser. Sam shoved him out, slamming the front door and locking it shut. The police cruiser began to drive off, and Warren put his arm out in dismay. Warren rushed into his own car and began to drive off after her.
Calem smiled, looking at the bookshelf which held his collection of stories. One book was noticeably gone from its spot.
“Where could you be, Rick? Where could you be…”

Sam suddenly interjected and put her hand over Warren’s mouth.
“Don’t listen to this bum, he’s just an old fart whose bones are so brittle they’re fit to break,” Sam sneered. Warren pulled Sam’s hand off his mouth and continued to banter. Somewhere within that argument, both Warren and Sam managed to reveal why they were there. The man sighed and rubbed his face.
“Rick’s gone and now this happens… Whatever. I’m not taking sides here, so either you both come in to interrogate me, or no one will. Man you two sound like a grumpy old couple who hate each other,” the man said. Sam began to glare, scoffing at what he had to say, and Warren looked gloomy after what he said.
“Psh, just remove the grumpy old couple part and you’d be 100% accurate,” Sam said with hatred in her voice. Warren shuffled uncomfortably.
“Is that really how you feel about me?” Warren thought solemnly.
The man rolled his eyes, tapping his slipper impatiently on the sidewalk.
“Okay, are you going to question me, or am I going to have to shoo you away?”
“I’m not even going to bother. Just don’t question any of us,” Sam blurted, making her way back to her car. Warren leaned forward and quickly grabbed onto Sam’s hand.
“Wait… Sam,” Warren said. Sam turned around and looked at Warren with wide eyes, then at her hand.
“I know we hate each other, but… let’s just do this for our son, okay?” Warren pleaded. Sam frowned a bit, looking into Warren’s eyes. Warren could feel his heart thump.
“Fine. Okay, let’s go.”
The man smirked.
“Well, they say those old grumpy couples always make up to each other.”
“Shut up.”
The man walked up to the front door and went inside his home. Warren and Sam followed closely behind. Upon entering they were greeted with the fresh smell of papers. Warren looked to the left to see gigantic shelves that were absolutely packed with all sorts of books, from non-fiction, to fiction, from action to slice of life, from romance to fantasy, it was there.
“I guess he really is a hardcore reader,” Warren thought. As Warren’s eyes scanned the bookshelf, one caught his eye… The Obelisk. He could spot the author’s name on the spine: Moon.
“That’s the person I saw messaging on the Dex,” Warren realized with wide eyes.
The man cleared his throat and sat down on a rocking chair. Both Warren and Sam took a seat on the living room couch. There was a glass coffee table in front of Warren and Sam. Warren was staring at his reflection in the glass.
“I think we should introduce ourselves properly,” the man said, “I’m Calem.”
“Warren.”
“Sam,” Sam said matter-of-factly, “Okay I want to go first.”
“No, I will,” Warren argued, “I was the one who convinced you to stay.”
“That doesn’t mean jack, Warren! I’m the only reason we can even interrogate him right now!”
The two began bickering again, and Calem slammed his foot on the hardwood floor in anger. The two turned to him in fear.
“Shut up, your arguments drive me mad! Just rock paper scissors and the winner goes first!”
Sam and Warren turn to each other again, putting their hands out to play. The two squint their eyes at each other.
“Rock, paper, scissors, shoot!”
Warren played rock, and Sam played scissors. Sam groaned.
“Best of 3.”
“Nope. Warren, you’re first.”
Warren turned to Calem and cleared his throat. He felt his face getting hot as Sam stared at him impatiently.
“So, um, do you know anyone related to the, uh, incident?”
Calem’s face dropped, and he looked at his feet with a frown and dull eyes.
“I do. My little brother Rick… I care about him a lot, you know. I was best buds with him. He became a hardcore reader just like me,” Calem said. He looked up at the chandelier, reminiscing, “Oh the days we’d get together under the big tree’s shade and read a good story… Good times.”
Warren looks up at Calem. He looked so sad.
“Poor dude,” Warren thought. He looked up at a picture frame on the wall. It was a picture of Calem and a boy who looked a little younger than him, and he also had blonde hair. That was probably Rick.
Sam suddenly slaps Warren.
SLAP!
“OW. What the heck?!” Warren barked.

Chapter 51: Hardcore Reader
Part 1/3
It was definitely a beautiful day outside. The birds were singing and the flowers were blooming. There wasn’t a cloud in sight. The sun was bright, but not too bright, and the clouds were there, but there weren’t too many.
Warren was tapping his fingers on the steering wheel as he drove down the highway. He was singing a little hum and was listening to the news on the radio. It seemed to be an announcement from the President.
“Dear citizens of the United Republic, I come to inform you of something absolutely tragic,” the President announced with a booming voice, “The seniors of Terran High, who were just about to graduate…”
“Have mysteriously disappeared approximately a week ago.”
Warren sighed and switched the radio channel. Good ol’ Guy surely didn’t know anything about the situation other than the fact that they disappeared.
Looking at his GPS, Warren could see that he was almost at his destination. A humble abode that was straight off the highway. It was right smack dab in the suburbs of Star City.
Warren made a turn off the freeway, and a few more minutes later he arrived at the home. It was not his, nor was it any of his coworker’s, but it was someone he wanted to question about the disappearances.
It was a man named Calem.
After that night where he investigated the enigmatic platform known as the “Dex”, the next day, Detective Darren had given him a file on Mr. Mo, the principal’s background. Apparently he was quite the illusive man, his father and mother were unknown, and he also had a wife who mysteriously disappeared. He had a son, but he had run away from home and was never found.
Because Mr. Mo had no family, there was only one person Warren could interrogate. People close to him, and Calem seemed to be one of them. Calem was part of the Terran High Alumni and had graduated from Terran High four years ago, all the way back in ‘23. He was well known for being a critic of literature and had read over 10,000 books in his lifetime. Apparently.
“He might be able to tell me more about what type of person Mr. Mo is, and, if there’s a chance, he might have even read Dodo Tales itself if he was such a hardcore reader…” Warren thought.
As Warren approached the house in his vehicle, he spotted a police car parked outside. He squinted his eyes at the car, and then saw a woman with long blonde hair stepping out. It was Sam.
Warren’s car slowed to a halt, and Sam turned around. Sam stared into the window, and then furrowed her brow, putting her hand up and giving Warren the birdie. Warren groaned and rolled his eyes at the sight.
Warren parks the car near the curb and steps up, slamming the door behind him and trotting up to confront Sam. Sam was crossing her arms. She was still in a tank top and black sweatpants. There was a walkie-talkie attached to her tank top, and she was also wearing sunglasses on this warm day. She looked like she had just gotten off work.
“What do you think you’re doing here?” Sam spat.
“I think I should be asking YOU that,” Warren replied, tugging on his red tie. He adjusted his tuxedo. Sam looked at his tuxedo with amusement.
“Pshh, questioning. Why are you here, trying to score a buck with a hot babe or ‘somethin?”
“What the-” Warren began to turn red, “Absolutely NOT! That is outrageous! I’m ALSO here for questioning!”
“Questioning here too? Well that’s too bad, I’ve gotten here first bozo so SCRAM.”
“I don’t think so Sam. I’ve been planning this for a long time, and I’m not going to go away just because you said so.”
“Yeah you pulled it out of your ass last night I’m sure of it.”
“How’d you know- Wait, you didn’t hear that, I DID NOT!”
“Just go away and let the grown ups handle it, okay hon?”
“I didn’t know we were resorting to name calling now. I’m not a little kid Sam.”
Just then, someone cleared their throat. Warren and Sam turned to see a guy with blonde hair standing there crossing his arms. He was packing on quite a bit of muscle, and he had a nice tan along his body. He looked a bit like a surfer. Notably, his blonde hair was fading to black. He had a slim fit black shirt with the text, “READING IS COOL.”
“What are you two bums doing outside my house? Get out of here!” the man demanded, waving his arm away, “I didn’t pay for this humble abode in the suburbs, to have my personal property INVADED BY HOMELESS SQUATTERS.”
Warren blinked his eyes and put his hands in the air in surrender.
“W-Wait sir! There seems to be a misunderstanding, I’m not a bum… I’m just here to ask questions-”

Chapter six: Swimming, swimming, on and on.
Jack nodded lunged deep into the cold water. All around him coelacanths and megapirranhas were swimming and way beneath him were plesiosaurs, mosaurus, and other dangerous sea creatures. Jack broke through the surface of the water, breathing hard. He had to swim to another shore unless he wanted to end il back in prison. There were no islands nearby. So he had to swim. Jack took a deep breath and then began to swim. He swam for hours. Back paddling, front paddling, doggy paddling. He swam on and on and on and on through the icy waters. He had to dodge different sea creatures and more. He swam day and night with no rest. He had no food and only salty sea water to drink. It seemed to take years before he finally spotted shore and by then Jack was exhausted, famished and half dead. Suddenly something attacked Jack from below. A bright blue jellyfish! A Cnidaria! It stung him several times on the chest. He didn’t have a weapon so he just kicked it. It was stunned for a second that he dared attack it. Then it swam after him, hissing all the way. Megaldons nipped at his heels. Jack swam with all his might. Finally he came to the shore. Jack crawled unto it and collapsed into the dry sand. There was a well nearby on the edge of a large forest. He could not move. He was gonna die. He couldn’t get up. Gonna black out. Just before he did he heard someone singing in a clear sweet voice:
“Lavender’s blue dilly dilly, lavender’s green. When you are king, dilly, dilly I will be queen. Who told you so dilly dilly, who told you so-” The singer paused and Jack heard her gasp and the he heard footsteps running toward him. Just before he blacked out he saw a woman with long hair leaning over him. Then everything went black.

Chapter 50.5: Revelation
Part 3/3
The President continued to speak, but Son couldn’t concentrate. That island in the sky…
“Don’t you see now Uncle?” Franklin said, “It’s just like that game we played.”
“The one us three used to play all the time,” Son said.
Tracy looked confused.
“What?!”
“That game with the dinosaurs,” Franklin reminded Tracy, “Remember that Mom? We used to talk about it all the time!”
“If it leads to my son, then that’s all that matters.”
Just then, a ding came from Son’s phone. He pulled his phone out of his pocket, and saw a notification on that platform for the game they played. He opened the app up and saw an urgent message.
It was from a man called Warren, and he was a deputy sheriff of the Star City area.
And he too, suffered the same loss as Son.
“What’s wrong, Uncle?” Franklin asked. Son smiled.
“I think I have the lead we need to find our missing boy,” Son grinned excitedly. He pocketed his phone, grabbed his car keys, and began to make his way out to the front door-
“Hey where are you going?” Tracy asked with crossed arms. Franklin stood by her side. Son turned back.
“Just making a trip to the police station. Seems to me a sheriff’s also suffering the same problem as we are. I’ll have a talk with him, team up, and we’re going to find our loved ones together.”
Franklin ran forward, and clutched onto Son.
“Wait, bring me with you, I can help!”
Son ruffled Franklin’s hair, and gently took his arms off him.
“Sorry kiddo, this is a grown-ups only trip. I’m not letting you go with me.”
“But I can-” Franklin paused, struggling to find his words, “I can help! I know I can, I’ve saved my brother before, he knows!”
Son chuckled a bit.
“In ARK, yes, but not in the real world. Just let me handle it, okay?”
Son opened the front door up, and walked out, closing the door behind him. Their dog began to run up to the front door, whining sadly. The French Bulldog sat down, staring at the door sadly.
“It’s okay, Franklin,” Tracy reassured her son. She put a hand on his shoulder, “The grown ups will figure it out themselves. Now go to bed. It’s getting late, and I want you to get some rest. You have a long summer break ahead.”
Franklin frowned, and hurried upstairs to the bathroom to brush his teeth.
Franklin locked the bathroom door, staring at the reflection in his mirror. He stared at himself for a moment, before looking down at the palm of his hand.
“I really wouldn’t have minded saving my brother one last time,” Franklin thought, “It would have been nice going on another adventure…”
Teal blue sparks shot out of his fingertips, but then died down.
“But I have luck on my side,” Franklin whispered, “And so he’ll be fine.”
For a second, Franklin could see him and his cousins, and his big brother, in the reflection of the mirror, each one standing side by side and smiling. They didn’t know their days together would be numbered at the time. Only his brother knew.
It was the same as how his brother didn’t know of the things they’d gone through together.
Franklin smiled at the memory. Then, he took his toothbrush and began to brush his teeth, the reflection of his family fading away from his sight.

Chapter 50.5: Revelation
Part 2/3
“Any text from him yet?” a lady with slightly aging hair asked. She had dark bags under her eyes, and was sitting at the dining table facing a man with a deep tan across his body. The man also had aging, gray hair, but he didn’t seem as tired or stressed as the lady.
“No, unfortunately,” the man replied, “He’s always been bad at texting back, but it’s been a week already. Something’s wrong. And I think you know it.”
“And what are we supposed to do now, huh Son?! Just up and go out and look for him? That doesn’t make any sense!”
“Don’t worry T. You know we’re going to figure it out soon enough. He isn’t the only one who’s disappeared. Hundreds of reports have been made to the police about the disappearances. Something big is going on.”
“Brother, do you think the police will even bother doing something about this?”
Son narrowed his eyes at his sister and frowned.
“Tracy, we aren’t in the West. We’re in the United Republic of Democracies. There’s a reason we moved here besides just the cost of living. This mansion we live in also comes with little to no corruption and a different system of how universities work compared to the West,” Son reminded her, “Remember what people said about this place? No longer would we have to spend hundreds of thousands for the boys to enter college- it’s all based on your grades. Get good grades, get into college. And your chances wouldn’t get thwarted just because they need diversity-”
Just then, a boy the age of 13 walked into the room. He had a bit of face fat and was a bit chubby, but he still seemed to be outgrowing Tracy and Son in height. He had Tracy’s brown eyes.
“Uncle?”
Son turned to the boy.
“I’m kind of in the middle of something Franklin,” Son said with a tinge of annoyance.
“It’s important. Trust me. It might give a lead on…”
Son groaned and got up from his seat, his knees stiff. He walked downstairs to the living room, and Tracy followed. There, the TV was on, and the President of the United Republic of Democracies himself was standing there in his suit with his secret agents by his side.
Each secret agent had their own respective color for their suit. Franklin thought they looked like the Power Rangers when they first moved to the URD… but nowadays there was no more time for joking around.
“Dear citizens of the United Republic, I come to inform you of something absolutely tragic,” the President announced with a booming voice, “The seniors of Terran High, who were just about to graduate…”
“Have mysteriously disappeared approximately a week ago.”
Son narrowed his eyes.
The picture shifted to a picture of the night sky.
“After reports from the National Space Institution, they detected a new star that has appeared in the night sky, one that fades colors of green, blue, and then red at a time. It’s none we’ve ever seen before, so using our telescope…”
The picture shifted again to a strange island, but there was something different about this island… a few miles off the sea the sea was immediately cut off by a mysterious barrier. A forcefield, even. Hovering over the island were three giant, metal towers, each one glowing red, blue, and green. Connected to the bottom of the strange island was a strange, unknown metal that connected to an overarching station. It was out of this world, literally!
Son’s eyes widened.
“Wait, that’s-”
The President continued to speak.
“We aren’t too sure what this is, but it seems to be the most likely place the scholars were transported. It’s almost like a lifeboat of sorts. We don’t know why they’re there, but we’re looking into it, rest assured.”

Chapter 50.5: Revelation
Part 1/3
Tap tap tap tap tap.
The President’s office was still as organized and neat as ever. He was holding onto a bag of popcorn and threw a piece into his mouth, chewing it on it loudly. Laid in front of him was a flickering hologram. He watched with eagerness, his eyes wide open and his leg bouncing on the quartz floor. A boy with green eyes was in a struggle against his mentor, the principal of Terran High.
“What’s going to happen next?!” the President asked himself.
With a sudden jolt, the green-eyed boy pulled back with the principal’s own pike, and stabbed him right in the heart. Tears fell from the boy’s eyes as he did. The President let out a gasp and nearly jumped out of his seat, his eyes bulging out.
“WOAHHHHH!” he screamed in honest surprise, “That has NEVER happened before! I have gotta put this in my story, I’ve gotta!”
The President put the bag of popcorn down and took out a notepad, jotting down his thoughts with a pen, occasionally glancing up at the screen as he did so.
The door to his office swung open, and standing at the doorway was Agent Lamprey. His light blue suit seemed to be fading of its color, and his shades reflected what little light came from the sunroof. Lamprey tipped his glasses, bowing. The President looked up and raised his eyebrow.
“What are you doing here?”
“Giving you the weekly report, as you asked me to do yesterday,” Agent Lamprey reminded him. The President blinked his eyes, and rubbed them.
“Oh yeah, sorry, I was just… watching someone on the ARK,” the President excused himself, “Y’know I didn’t expect there to be so much fun. Adding that rule was a great idea on your part, that rule, what was it called? Kill or Be Killed? It’s opened up so much opportunity for my story!”
The President rose from his seat and put his arms in the air, his eyes filled with ecstasy.
“I can feel the creativity surging within me! Untapped creativity I’ve not experienced since the old days!”
Agent Lamprey looked at him concerningly.
“Um. Well, not too many have perished since our last report, only a dozen or so. But you may be surprised to hear the implant-less boy has survived up till’ now.”
“The implant-less boy… Samuel?”
“Yeah. Him.”
“Okay, so what?”
“Don’t you think it’s a good opportunity to watch his every move?” Agent Lamprey suggested, “It could give a lot of good ideas, if he managed to survive for so long without an implant…”
The President looked back and smiled.
“Hmm, you’re right. Not bad of an idea, Agent. No wonder why you’re my favorite.”
The President clicked a few buttons on his console, and the picture of the hologram flickered. Agent Lamprey showed no signs of happiness at the President’s compliment.
“D.T. Guy, remember what you told us about revealing to the world what was in the night sky?”
The President groaned and got up from his seat, brushing his suit clean of dust and crumbs.
“Ah yeah I almost forgot. Let’s go now to the studio. I think it’s about time we reveal why the graduates of Terran High have disappeared…”
Saw this dude at the bottom of the ocean on my itchy and I was on a taming hunt and I had about 4 cryopoded animals and I got so excited for this 30 minute expiry piece of magic crud and I had bought lots of honey so I came up to it but then this alpha mosa came out of nowhere and 1 shotted it. The last thing me keyboard saw was my fists.
This dino is actually for me in ark mobile is easier to find than mosa because I was riding my ichy and found 3 just by going to herb island/my base to red ob right when I was taming it a alpha lvl 30 mosa came along with tuso and ammonite accidentally hit the ammonite and I bet you know the rest of the story😂😅😐☠️😡🤬

He pulled his arm further back. Baring his teeth, he imaged slicing his claws through the Emperors body.
“Midnight, no!”
He slammed his eyes shut. The nightmare. The nightmare. his cousin leaping in the way. Umber screaming as Midnight’s talons raked acrossed his chest. ‘It was an accident.’
He forced his eyes open and grinded his teeth together. His breathing quickened, his heartbeat throbbing through his head. ‘Come on. Come on! Kill him! kill him now!’
But his talon was as far back as it could get, and it did not move. He stared down in rage and sadness and terror at the quiet, sleeping Terror bird.
“…RAARGH!”
The roar echoed through the room, causing the Emperor to wake up. he blinked rapidly, rubbing his eyes with the edges of his wings.
But by the time he lifted his head to scan the room for the noise, all was quiet, and the assassin was gone.
