Encountering Tips

How do I kill a leedsichthys? leedsichthys battling strategies in ARK: Survival Ascended & Evolved.
These things are bigger then a Meg when they literally ate whales and sharks for a snack
Something I just learned if you restart a server (I use gportal) make sure to take a shark, Barry or something to kill them before heading to your base on herbivore island with a Rex on a raft… we lived but ugh I got tag teamed
Ontime I was a low level heading to hearbavore island on my raft with my parasour I made it half to three quarters of the way there and out of nowhere a flipin alpha one of these and scares me 20 years closer to death after that let’s just say I went into god mode
When encountering one of these the best tip I can give you for when on a raft is to have a balista. It takes 5 shots and then BOOM dead hope this saves some lives
For Mobile players: these things do not aggro on rafts and don’t have an alpha version. For PC/Console players: these guys have an alpha version and do aggro on rafts.
On a raft start riding, place a foundation in front of you stone-tek. Place a wood pillar off of it, replace the foundation lower. Place pillar on foudation, remove foundation place lower, rinse repeate until the raft is above the foundation. Make your raft surrounded in foundations and use thatch ceilings to extend your ability to place slightly.
The alpha give more meat and y the hell can you ride these things when you forestame them
For you who say there's no alpha leedichthys and play mobile it's only on PC and console there's no alpha leedichthys on mobile just like there's no griffins on the og ark on PC and console there only on the Ragnarok dlc and mobile
I saw this dude at the tropical areas at crystal isles but it was an alpha and it was beached but it just didn’t die but then I lagged and I went 7 steps forward and it started wriggling and it ate me then a second later on it died and these piranha came and but it once and it just blew into the oblivion. Bye alpha leedsichthys.
Leedsicthys are very dangerous of you are on a raft, they will begin attacking your raft if you're in deep enough sea, it's best to stay as close to the shore as you can (But also be careful as some shorelines have Sarco spawns) The only way to avoid these guys is if you have a few plant species x and maybe a motorboat too
Be careful if you are on crystal Isles servers on a raft I had two of these mob me n smash my raft with a smithy furnace had a bed down all of it gone not to mention all the good stuff I had collected in drops
To stop the confusion the big fat whale can’t deal damage on mobile or eat ur boat and it isn’t aggressive on mobile too and I don’t think there’s alpha ones but I HAVE seen an alpha mosa when I was riding in the oceans near the top left area it destroyed me- jk I had my ithchy with me and the alpha mosa had like 60000 health
Me and my friend were trying to get to herbivore island and we just happend to come accross an alpha
i've been sailing on mobile for awhile and have been all around the island but only recently found one chilling right next to my base, next to the red obelisk. it spawned kind of deep, but i managed to shoot it from the beach. it was just a lvl 1 with 4400 health and i was able to take it out in a few shots with my rifle, but it didn't attack at all. they seem pretty chill in mobile.
To the people saying their raft got destroyed all you have to do is stick to the shore
Alpha one chomped my boat and destroyed all my gear while moving :(
These guys are actually quite easy to kill. I used a high level megalodon and I killed an alpha one and a alpha meg at the same time. My meg almost died but it was fun and worth it
I was lurking around the depth of the waters but I saw a big fish I thought it was a moss I was scared but no it was a prime meat fish
Me and my friend have encountered 2 alphas on 1 boat trip. Half the dinos jumped off and killed everything but the boat. Don’t mess with alpha kids.
Its a fricking whale. Its the same size as gigas (answering a question)
