The way to remove a lamprey and leeches is to stand over a campfire, they will detach and disappear

When they attach themselves you are immune to radiation

They protect you from the stupid nameless

And the radiation

Its main feature is if it bites you your are immune to radiation for 500 seconds with the side effect of it rarely taking away stamina,health,ect, but usually it never gives you any of these, hoped this helped!-C

You can tame it by capturing it in a fish basket release it and put it in a cryopod for later use, put it on aggressive and unclaimed it to use.

Really good at abberation, they gave you charged buff against nameless, protect you from radiation(immunity), in exchange they suck off your blood and rare chance of giving you diseases. Buff last for 600 seconds. Awesome way to go into radiation zone to get rockdrake egg or red gem without the need to make yourself a hazard suit in the mid game.up this so people know

Try taming it, setting to aggressive, then unclaiming it to have a lamprey when needed instead of searching for one every time.

If you want a danger noodle as a pet, catch one in a fish basket and just plop the noodle in a little body of water and watch him swim - TiredTamer

They can attach themselves to you even if you're wearing Tek armor, at least on Valguero. I didn't know that and thought because of my armor i'd be safe like with regular leeches. Nope, they can latch onto you no matter what you're wearing.

Put in basket on abbreaviation to tame it or kill it for leech blood for fishing for BPs

If there is one on your screen in x box and no matter what you do it doesn’t come off check all your tames if a leech is latched on one of your tames it will show up on your screen. Up of helpful ^

If you get a leech/lamprey just stand on a fire or get a tribemate to stab it off, if this will not work simply check your tames for leeches

These exist in real life but don’t usually attack humans

I don’t know if I was doing something wrong but I could never get a leech to detach by standing over a campfire I once even stood on top of one until I nearly burned to death and still nothing then i actually burned to death and still had leech on screen that’s when I realized it was on one of my Dinos and felt dumb

Find a small pond in the biulimnecent area then place a fish basket. There are so many you would probably get one.

They are just a way cooler version of the leech.

I had a leech attached to me and when I mounted my blood wyvern I had the option to remove leech from my mounts menu wheel no fire needed. Up for more to see

Put a fish basket and wait for a leech to get in it but u can also tame. Coelacanths and mega perrannna!
