Finally tamed, tried all different traps but main thing is to let the crab eat you if its health is too low and come back to pounce on him again. You wont lose too much torpor and he will get about 30% of its health

You can trap it inbetween two Dino gates then shoot it with a cannon, 1 ball works if you hit it in the top of the back

Using the cannon is better. Make a trap and get a markings in there to see where and how you can manipulate its direction,once u figured it out put the cannon at a safe place.build the trap a little higher makes it easier to aim.90-135 are a single cannon shot.

HOW TO KEEP IT ALIVE, draw a body to it while it attacks still. Magnifying glass is super helpful for this tame

To knock out, no exact number, but about 20 on 2x, (about 40 normal) for a 150 using a catapult.

Trap it with 2 Dino gates and a behemoth gate and door and use fence foundations (all stone) to help you make a triangular shape for the trap. Then have it chase you into the trap and close the behemoth gate and knock out with a paracer w/ a catapult on one side of the platform saddle

When knocking out if it’s health gets to low and you can’t get it’s agro throw honey in front of it and a dead corpse so it will heal fast and then you can continue shooting it

So far the only way i have been able to knock it out is with a catapult

If you agro/kit a pracer to one it will kill the crab and you will get all the chitin that solved my Chitin/cementing past problem early on (they drop 300 Chiron) in aberation I am now taming a spino to get Chitin faster

Although you can knock out the crab with one hit using the cannon, you may loose about 40 percent taming efficiency. Recommend using a catapult with a trap to retain the levels.

Use boulders on a catapult and aim for the back of its shell, this is where you will get the most torpor

Don't hit it on the legs or shoot it with a cannon, it will not knock it out: hitting the legs does almost no torpor and a cannon will instantly kill it

Use catapults to knock them out because cannons do to much damage and you will never get a perfect tame with a cannon

A cannon KO’s a 150 with one shot, but make sure you only hit the center shell or else you only do damage and no torpor. A catapult works on low levels but it deals too much damage and not enough torpor for a high level, and a cannon kills very low levels instantly so use catapults for low levels or cannons for high levels.

Don’t hit it in the head you will kill it. If you want to tame it hit its shell it’s like the rock golem because you have to tame it with something powerful like a canon

You have to hit the body. We hit the head the first time and it did that was a 145. We Found a 130 and shot the body and it ko. Use catapults with boulders. Cannon also works but it needs to be a high level (125+) it it will be a one shot kill. If using a cannon then aim for the head. Should knock out with first cannon shot. If not the second will ko it.

You must knock out with either cannon or a catapult. Hit it in the body/ head.bdont hit legs or arms. Cannon will kill low level krabbs. I suggest catapult

From what I’ve seen people have been using catapults since darts don’t work

To knock out a Karkinos you will need to target it’s body with catapults and cannon balls. That is the ONLY way to inflict torpor.
