How are these omnivores?

Fire cannonballs at its head. It's immune to radiation, gives polymer when killed and harvested. Throws dinos and can jump high. Pretty good tame

DONT USE CANNON BALLS!! They drop taming effectiveness down to 63% boulders are the way to go. Place three stone gateways in a box shape. Put a large bear tarp in the middle lure him to it. Put the other stone dinosaur gateway to close the trap. Place a catapult on a paracer platform saddle and only aim for the head. If it rotates in the trap just keep moving around on the paracer until you get some shots on him. A Max level takes 16 boulders to the head to get knocked out. If you do it right when it gets knocked out the taming effectiveness will be 100%

To tame have a soaker on passive and have the karkanos aggro it and place the catapult behind it and be sure to bring plenty of stone and metal.

Welp, I’m going to tell you how I and I think you should tame a Karkinos using this hopefully simple method, to begin with, you can only knock out a Karkinos with a cannon or catapult, nothing else, And they are omnivores, they spawn on valguero, aberration, gen1, Crystal isles, and gen 2, they eat spoiled meat, normal raw meat, raw fish meat, and basilosaurus exceptional kibble, now for the trap your going to need 3 stone pillars, 2 stone dino gateways, and one large bear trap, for my method I just go for the kibble, I would prefer taming a Karkinos with a catapult rather than a cannon mainly because the cannon takes away the taming effectiveness and has a chance to kill the Karkinos, catapults do not take away any taming effectiveness and have a lower chance of killing the Karkinos, and for the cannon method you will only need 1 cannon ball, for the catapult method about 12 boulders or more depending on the level, now, find a place that has a hill and a flat area, put a thatch platform on the small hill and put the catapult on there and load it, and then place 3 pillars in a way like this, one hugging the middle of the hill, and the two others lowered a little bit and far away (not too far away) from eachother, and then place the large bear trap inside of the pillars, find a Karkinos of your desire and then agro it, lure it to the large bear trap and once it’s stuck put two dinosaur gateways behind it, start knocking it out with the catapult, aim for the body and not the legs since if you hit the legs you will kill it, once it’s knocked out enter inside the trap and feed it whatever it likes to eat, after a bit you will have you own Karkinos! Don’t try and use a club. They will grab you then use you like drum sticks

If you are using a cannon it is one shot KO but dose look like 40% taming eff. Boulders for a lv 90 -150 is between 10-18

A level 150 takes about 12-16 boulders straight to the face,hit the body or your sad krabbo friend will perish forever.

Knocking it out with a cannon is easier, but will cost you 30 taming effectiveness. Choose wisely. Also, only aim for the head/torso. Hitting it's limbs will NOT induce torpor, and may kill it if you hit them too many times.

My "trap" for a 140 consisted of 3 large bear traps, me running for my life, and a stone foundation with a cannon on it in front of them. Then I just adjusted it and it knocked on the first hit.

Chain Bolas and Nets can also immobilise Karkinos. You can also use catapults to knock it out. If you don't have any kibble, you can give it spoiled meat.

Don’t forget to bring a magnifying glass to make sure the torpor stays above the hp other wise you have a decent chance of killing it if it was recently fighting sarco or dimetrodon

Shoot from the front with a cannon, catapults don’t work anymore.

Make sure that you hit it's back if you hit it's legs it will die and trust me you feel like a idiot if you kill it

Use stone dinosaur gates to trap it next to a bank or cliff. Build a catapult on high ground and hit it in the body with boulders. Be careful not to hit it anywhere else as a couple misses will kill it before it downs.

Everyone says you need a catapult or cannon, but you don’t. It gives the WORST taming effectiveness, but you can use a rocket launcher. Find a karkinos lv. 12 or higher. If it is not, lv. 12 or higher, a single rocket will kill it. After you find one lv. 12 or higher, take a fast tame and agro the karkinos. Once angry it will follow you, move a small distance away, it will move toward you, showing it’s face, fire your rocket at its face. This will almost kill the karkinos, but it will deal lots of torpor. Now use your fast tame and kill something, get really close to the body. let the karkinos come to you and attack you but in the process of trying to hit you, it will hit the body. This will heal the karkinos completely, allowing you to repeat the process until it is knocked out, feed spoiled meat (as they like that the most) until tamed. Have fun with your new karkinos! 🦀

Yo if you tame a Karinos you basically shoot with a cannon or catapult, you knock it out, feed it, and it loves you forever, after you shoot it in the face with a giant metal ball or boulder 🥺

If you do too much damage when trying to KO. Use honey on last spot of hot bar and toss at its face for speedy hp recovery.

I just tamed mine with a Paracer with a catapult on it’s back

I recommend creating a trap using some dinosaur gates and a large bear trap. Because they are very hard to keep still!
