If your okay with losing 30% for fast knock out get a tek stryder with a chest cannon and let the crab come up and attack you two or 3 shots can knock a level 150 out

Tek stryder with cannon can stun It xD, hit perfectly without damage him, 2 hit After lvl 75

You can use canes to tame them ok 👍

It's good to tame them by netting them and then shooting them in there back to knock unconscious try using boulders then cannonballs, they will be killed if you hit them in there limbs (you can use a rocket launcher but it will almost always kill it before knocking it out.

When knocking out kraboid here is my number one tip... keep a cryo pod of a glow pet or shoulder mount to sacrifice to it if its health gets low I suck at taming these guys but glowpet/shoulderpets regens some health to it after it eat corpse and make taming these lobster buffets a load easier

Hey guys just realized that you can tame with a sling shot. But it takes a crap ton of rocks and you have to land every shot every time. But that’s how you get Heath crabs

You can keep the crab in place for a minute with net projectiles and you can knock it out quickly with it

You can knock it out by shooting it in the abdomen with a rocket launcher homing missile I knocked out two that way

I highly recommend taming for soaking bullets in pvp. Why they take more damage if hit on the legs well because people who are reading this tip you can pick up stegos or trikes to soak the bullets for your karkinos so technically not a soaker but very officiant at makeing other creatures soak for you I guess. When your done soaking yeet the creature’s you were soaking with into there base and let them do some damage and distract them while you break in and destroy the base. And if you don’t believe me I only post true information about creature’s I have ether tested or seen in game or in a yt video. Warning they get bounced back if shot by tek turrets. Everyone watch rassclark I saw his video on tanky tames which helped supply some of the information to be more pacific it was the warning about the tek turrets so you should definitely subscribe to rassclark if you haven’t already. Net projectile works on these, so craft your catapult and boulders, find your crab and net it. Proceed to set up the catapult a few feet from its face and you can easily just fire all required shots before the net expires. You’re welcome!

Handy trick, if you're playing on Fjordur and want a high level DO NOT go to the Aberration Cave. There is a second Aberration cave near the Vannaland (South) Southeast teleport. Go inside, and if you find a low level kill it and harvest the corpse. Then do a lap of the cave (make sure to fight stuff to slow you down as if you run too fast this doesn't work), and you should have another spawn. I used this trick and in 5 minutes I had already killed 7 Karkinos, and they were a mix of levels. This is also a great way to farm Organic Polymer. Hope this helped

Everyone says you need a catapult or cannon, but you don’t. It gives the WORST taming effectiveness, but you can use a rocket launcher. Find a karkinos lv. 12 or higher. If it is not, lv. 12 or higher, a single rocket will kill it. After you find one lv. 12 or higher, take a fast tame and agro the karkinos. Once angry it will follow you, move a small distance away, it will move toward you, showing it’s face, fire your rocket at its face. This will almost kill the karkinos, but it will deal lots of torpor. Now use your fast tame and kill something, get really close to the body. let the karkinos come to you and attack you but in the process of trying to hit you, it will hit the body. This will heal the karkinos completely, allowing you to repeat the process until it is knocked out, feed spoiled meat (as they like that the most) until tamed. Have fun with your new karkinos! 🦀

If you are having trouble with it bot staying still for you to hit it with Boulders just Net the thing it becomes soooo much easier. Wish I would have known thar the first time I tried getting on as I spent 4 hours waiting on its health regen because I didn't know I could just Net it and keep it facing me

Lookin to tame one of these giant crabs here’s how so what you’ll need is a canon or catapult, cannon works better for higher level you’ll also need a high ledge or trap I recommend using nooblets Karkinos trap, a fast tamed mount (the mount is optional if things go wrong)

shoot it’s abdomen (behind head) with either cannon or catapult once it’s knocked out feed it what the dododex says and you got yourself a crab boi hope this helped!

Catapults are no more useful. Craft cannons

If you see them bleeding while trying to tame them just heal them with a Snow Owl, they lose torpor slowly so its not a problem if you stop a bit so you can heal the Karkinos to not kill it.

Fire cannonballs at its head. It's immune to radiation, gives polymer when killed and harvested. Throws dinos and can jump high. Pretty good tame

I tamed a 150 karkinos on gen 2 and it swalloed 1000+ narcotics and it said that i need 150 so dont always trust it
