Once you tame the Karkinos anything that fits in its claws just hold them there and traq them

Handy trick, if you're playing on Fjordur and want a high level DO NOT go to the Aberration Cave. There is a second Aberration cave near the Vannaland (South) Southeast teleport. Go inside, and if you find a low level kill it and harvest the corpse. Then do a lap of the cave (make sure to fight stuff to slow you down as if you run too fast this doesn't work), and you should have another spawn. I used this trick and in 5 minutes I had already killed 7 Karkinos, and they were a mix of levels. This is also a great way to farm Organic Polymer. Hope this helped

Hands down the best water cave runner. If you can transfer a karkinos to the island they can easily run both the cavern of lost hope and lost faith without aggroing many creatures. Mosasaurs, jellyfish, and eels all ignore the karkinos making those caves a cakewalk. Even better, the tusoteuthis cant grab the karkinos either.

You can use explosive arrows on the tek bow to knock out

This thing is hell to tame without nets.

It is affected by a net, so to keep it from squirming in trap, net it

I don’t know if this was just a glitch or if anyone has experienced this, but when I took mine down to the ocean floor, the only creatures to actually aggro to me was the Europtryd. Plesiosaurs, electric eels, the giant squids, even an alpha Mosa didn’t try to attack me. Super slow, but this might be the best tame for trekking the ocean floor.

The Karkinos is considered a large predator and therefore does not aggro other predators when ridden (with the exception of other karkinos, rock drakes, etc.), making it a great mount for relatively safe traveling!

HOWEVER!!! Smaller predators WILL attack if your karkinos is holding a prey creature in its claws, so keep this in mind while transporting tames and wild creatures!

Killing these nets you chitin, organic polymer.

Karkinos can perform a grab attack that will pull you off of almost any creature. However, they can only do this grab if they are standing in water. Even the slightest puddle of water will let them grab. For your own safety, don’t fight them while they are standing in water, unless you would like to be slammed into the floor repeatedly by a giant spider crab.

You can tell if you shot the legs if it throws it’s arms up in the air when you shoot. If it doesn’t move at all when you shoot that means you shot it correctly, so make sure you don’t get it to throw its arms up when you’re nocking it out

Build taming coral. Lead it in. Build pillers around it until it can't move at all. Build catapult and place up high to shoot down at karkinos. Hit top of body. The karkinos body will move downwards and rebound when hit correctly. Shoot carefully as they die easily. Good luck

Enable wondering on 2 of ur dinos and pick them up with the crab mating at an ease basically u can have ur dinos smash and pass ;)

Guy best way to do it is with three people. 2 online 1 offline. One guy on the crab and 1 on a anky. The guy on the crab grapples the offline guy. Mine with the anky until the crab is heavy, then put all the metal in the offline guy. Rinse repeat until you cap out in metal on the offline guy. Head back to base and empty everything in the forges. Do this cycle for infinite metal on abberation. ( and if you want it to be faster. Have two anks instead of one. An a weight crab) best metal farming

❗️This is important ❗️ these guys are super super underrated for soaking non-player only heavys. Even with a primitive saddle these things have got such a major damage reduction when it comes to projectiles of any sort. Not only that they can be used to throw highly utilized stegos, or Turtles into someone’s base. these are super easy to tame and are very useful in terms of farming, pvp on aberration, base defense, and believe it or not, SOAKING❗️

If it's getting low on health almost die while taming, don't worry just use owl to heal it up so u can continue to knock him out. Up this please so people can know small tip from me.

If they are in water the can crab you, which leads to a certain death. Not so dangerous on land. (Pun intended)
