Honesty it’s ability to carry is insane, you can dismount and it will still hold the creature you’re carrying, can carry two, can throw insanely far, and can even pick up stegos.

Make sure that you hit it's back if you hit it's legs it will die and trust me you feel like a idiot if you kill it

Everyone says you need a catapult or cannon, but you don’t. It gives the WORST taming effectiveness, but you can use a rocket launcher. Find a karkinos lv. 12 or higher. If it is not, lv. 12 or higher, a single rocket will kill it. After you find one lv. 12 or higher, take a fast tame and agro the karkinos. Once angry it will follow you, move a small distance away, it will move toward you, showing it’s face, fire your rocket at its face. This will almost kill the karkinos, but it will deal lots of torpor. Now use your fast tame and kill something, get really close to the body. let the karkinos come to you and attack you but in the process of trying to hit you, it will hit the body. This will heal the karkinos completely, allowing you to repeat the process until it is knocked out, feed spoiled meat (as they like that the most) until tamed. Have fun with your new karkinos! 🦀

These guys are weaker than they look. I had a few low levels near my base and they died to my level 5 sarco. They’re biggest attack is when they grab you but if you just use a Dino like a sarco then they stand no chance

If you do too much damage when trying to KO. Use honey on last spot of hot bar and toss at its face for speedy hp recovery.

Yo if you tame a Karinos you basically shoot with a cannon or catapult, you knock it out, feed it, and it loves you forever, after you shoot it in the face with a giant metal ball or boulder 🥺

Even though it's mainly a water dino, it can still pose a threat to you on land, so be careful!

I recommend creating a trap using some dinosaur gates and a large bear trap. Because they are very hard to keep still!

What makes polymer on Aberration, Valguero, and Fjordur a walk in the park. There are other maps but I have yet to go there (as I decided to do all notes and bosses run). I have harvest setting set to 3.0 so some dinos yield more from the body of a karkinos than others. Moschops can harvest more with the secondary attack with bonuses based on organic polymer bonus by percentage in levels if that makes sense. Regardless of dino you will come home with probably a lot of organic polymer.

All you have to do it net it, set down a catapult and go to town. Very easy yame once you get the hang of it. Just make sure you do it on flat ground!

The Karkinos and the Anky is a great way to farm metal in aberration in the blue zone.

Karkinos grab their prey if it is small enough and bash it prey up and down. Best way to get away from one is by running. Karkinos are slow and won't catch up in time you don't spot running!

Crab and anky is the best form of metal gathering as the crab can still move by dropping and picking back up while pushing forward. This enables you to black box an anky. In abberation you can do this in about 15min on normal server settings. Black box anky is 90k raw metal. 45k ingots after smelting. Dont pump any weight into anky. Only melee.
