Locate a kapro by flying overhead, bring 3 fence foundations and 4 doorways and a few bolas, all stone quality structures. fly a tin bit out of kapro agro range and place your three fence foundations down snapping in a straight line. build a 1 tall by 3 wide wall of frames, and place your last frame on the center making it 2 tall. walk until the kapro targets you, and back up into the central doorway and wait until it lunges. a few paces back will be far enough for it to not hit you. now you can bola the kapro and knock it out for taming. the wall in the center will be tall enough to keep the kapro from leaping over. alternatively you can place a bear trap down and they will get trapped. both large and small DO work

You can actually pick them up with an argy. I did this with a few of them

I was playing mobile and wanted one so I picked it up with my argentavis and while I had it picked up it threw me off the mount, thank god for soft reset (when you power something completely off so the game doesn’t remember it)

These things have killed me I don’t know how many times and I have never even come close to killing one.

I found that if you let them grab you then fire one tranq arrow into their head from a crossbow will instantly knock them out. Just make sure you have high health. I tamed two of these that way.

Tamed a level 145 by carrying with argy from swamp to my base. Picked it out the water pretty easily. Whilst it was starving, I went for another... was carrying it out and it somehow managed to dismount me when I was carrying it! I feel into the pond below the floating island on the Center map. Got killed by a pack of megalodon and mantas. My guess is that the way the argy held it meant it could dismount me. Don’t underestimate it!

So I’ve never actually tamed one of these, (never thought it would be worth it) but now I realize that if I do try to tame one, it will probably see me before I see it. And by the time I manage to Trang it out, I’ll be in it’s stomach. And IK that must be other people afraid of this too. So what if, I just got a really high health dilo, named him bait and set him on passive, and threw him to the edge of the swamp, where the lapel will jump out and gnaw on it for a minute, and then so can tranq it out. Like I said this might not work as I have never tried it but it’s a thought, so good luck!

Taming a Kapro takes a long time. Kapro are found at swamps

You can’t pick it up with a argie only quetsel or wyvern.

The easiest way to tame these guys is by actually letting it grab you from off your mount and shoot it with arrows or darts. Just make sure that you have atleast have really good chitin armor or flack. Space your shots so that it doesn't kill the thing, because they leave low health, even for high levels. I recommend taking a Baryonyx as a mount unless you have something similar that can stand in the swamp water because you can drown. Doesn't take much to take these guys, just be careful and make sure to get them out of there asap because low hp. Have fun with the gator dog.

Nothing works to trap them, they can't be tamed. They jump out of plant species y and can reach a maximum vertical jump height of 2000ft

Tame a High Level!I repeat but they are fun to ride they can knock players off tames I don't recommend taming low level

I found that if you stand on the back of a spino on a flat area the kapro has not been able to jump high enough to snatch me up like a wig in a Walmart parking lot after someone picked a fight with a drag queen over toilet paper. Just stand up there take your cross bow shoot them a few times and put your kibble or meat of choice in its inventory to easily tame. (Just make sure that you don't accidentally fall off the spino as it doesn't have the best area to stand on while doing all this.)

Kapros are dangerous where a gillie suit and find a kapro dont go to close or we grab and send you to the swamp keep hitting him make sure he is not in the swamp or if he run dont let it go in the swamp or you lose the tame when he is knocked out put some raw meat or fish meat in his inventory and you have a kapro

Personally, I like these guys even better than sarcos. Their speed and agility make them good on land as well as water, their smaller size makes them easier to maneuver, and their grab attack is amazing.
