For all the noobs out there, if these things kidnap you in the swamp, here’s what to do. Take out your bow/ gun. Pray you have ammo and fire right into its head. This strategy has saved me countless times.

P.S. If you have a strong melee weapon such as a pike or sword on you, that also works.

I was out to tame a raptor when suddenly a Kaprosuchus just jumps out of the water!

I forgot to switch my tranq with a normal arrow an accidentally knocked it out then i just tamed it and being attacked by Titanobas! Swamps are scary......

This guy… jumps like HALF A MILE and is sooooo good for travel.

Me: is within a 6 mile radius of a swamp

Kapro: Bonjour

They can carry most small annoying Creutures in their mouth and bite them to death without you or your kapro getting damaged, (dillos, terror birds, raptors, ect) but they can NOT carry alpha raptors. I've tried it and lost my best kapro, don't attempt it.

Don't put these guys off as weaklings. They will ruin your day. If you get grabbed by on quickly kill it before it kills you and your mount. They are very frail so it isn't too bad if you act quickly.

They are really good for Trilobites. The pounce means they move very quickly on land and are fast swimmers. Once they grab a Trilobite they walk in a circle with them in there mouth till it dies. No more chasing them across the beaches.

Drop in someone's base as a gift

These guys are perfect for traveling around the map, you can jump off a cliff and not die with their leap attack. I have a level 8 I believe and have explored very far from my base, came back with a crap load of electronics and stuff from tek parasaurs I killed. Very useful and would recommend. To tame you just need to keep your distance from it and avoid its leap attack as best as you can, they don't run that fast so just shoot it with some tranq arrows till it's knocked out. ^so people see

Hippity hoppity you are my property

If your on the island go to the east side of the map. Go to the edge of the swamp and make a trap, even a two by two thatch one will work. Put door frames on the edges of the foundations, then finally a ramp for it to walk up on. You can also use this as a safety area to knock it out from.

Run away you will die...

The swamp is an evil place thanks to these and those damn snakes.

I think the devs should add a command for singleplayers that makes it possible for the Kapro to grab creatures on it‘s own without attacking them, so the player can stand in front of him to knock the dinosaur out (as a command like you can activiate turret mode with the chalicotherium)

This is a very useful mount, especially in PvP. It has a special jump attack, which can grab players and hold them, or knock them of their mounts. It doesn't have much health though. It is fast on land and in the water, however increasing movement speed doesn't affect swimming speed.

This creature kills you so fast that it crashes the game. No, seriously. I’ve had my game crash on several occasions, every time the cause being death by Kapro. Not sure if this is a known bug or not, but I’d just like to put it out there in case anyone has had the same issue.

These things are amazing for the Yeti cave, better than the Dire wolf. My Kapro, One Jump Man, made the hardest cave on The Island a cake walk.. except for navigating it

All utilities of this creature I know of for the noobs:

PASSIVES:

.naturally high stamina regeneration

.naturally high health regeneration when force fed

ACTIVES:

.Spamming the lunge to escape danger or go at light speeds

.grabbing small creatures such as terror birds In their mouths(tranq em kill em throw em of a cliff they can’t do anything)

.can possibly be used to drain creatures stamina to prevent them from

Running (not sure why you’d use this but it’s an option regardless)

If you're not careful this creature will give you the kaprosucccccccc

So I kinda wanted to tame one so I went to grab one with my argy…

He grabbed me off the argys back fell into the water with him I pulled out my sword and killed him then all the STUIPED TORPOR DEALING SNAKES CAME AT ME I made it out alive but I almost drowned while I was knocked out I made it to my nearest outpost from there I grabbed my pteranodon and flew to whistle my argy and flew home

PS: it is useful to have outposts where you can retreat also the outposts should have a flyer and supplies. I have 1 in redwoods 2 next to diff parts of swamp and some others through the map
