I use a cross bow its almost 50/50 chance it will kill it but if that happens you can just pick out a different kairuku, and feed it raw fish and/or raw meat to tame they are very easy to tame almost dodo like in a way

-Once tamed the Kairuku acts as a mobile heater. It adds 35 to your hypothermic insulation (your how cold you are stat) the more Kairuku you have compounds their effectiveness.( the further away from the penguin the less effective it is)

-Can be used for breeding so you don't have to waste mats on Air Conditioners

They are so cute! I tamed one today and I named it Karri. She is a juvenile and very weak but still cute. If you kill baby or juvenile kairukus on purpose. I will find and burn your base in multiplayer.

They can spawn in packs of 3 up to 5 and they only spawn in the far northwest snow region of the island, you have the best chance of finding them at the glaciers even further out in the ocean as only kairukus can spawn at glaciers.

If you ko and tame a wild baby, juvenile or adolescent penguin you are able to imprint it and it will have no creature ancestry.

If you are on old ark mobile you can kill then revive these from anywhere up to 8-16 amber which then you can claim them instead of knocking them out then feeding them.

Throw a few females and a male into a small pen. Enable mating on all of them. Hatch as many females (and a couple more males) as you’d like. Bring a dimetrodon into the pen to help with incubating the eggs. Set him on aggressive, and he will automatically kill the babies and harvest the organic polymer (which can be used as a substitute for regular polymer, saving obsidian and cementing paste).

It seems like they also lay normal eggs pretty often, so I like to keep an oviraptor on wander (weighed down with rocks) nearby to boost unfertilized egg laying for basic kibble.

So I had a hard time getting organic polymer, one day I just happen to see these things and go” aaawww, your cut, now I want to kill you”. After that I got so much polymer after killing an entire Colony of them

For Taking. Use tranquilizing darts. I have an ascendant crossbow and kept killing them by accident. As it seems it takes a lot of tranq arrows take one down. But when using tranq darts it took couple shots but did trick.

The best spot to tame one is on the little island in the corner of the north biodome. Which pretty much is penguin island. Nothing really pops up there to bother you unless you count the ocean. Also dododex does say it has a high tampour drop, but if you have some raw prime meat on you it isn't going to be a problem. Tamed a lv110 it's only 5 pieces of raw prime.
