If you can get past the idea of it, they have a decent amount of babies and the ones with terrible food stats that die quickly were a good easy source of prime meat. I had a large farm of them on scorched earth.

Try NOT to shoot with tranq arrows even though the fed says you can, it’s a one shot. I killed a pack of three just trying to knock one out. I found the fists to be the most effective method for knocking these out. Hope this helps!!

Scientifically speaking it's one of the three most adorable things in ark, along with the otter and ovis, but it does have a practical use, they have an interesting expertise at detecting weather, I can't describe it to you in words so go watch shipwreckt's video on it. Otherwise it's not very useful, unless there are storms on Ragnarok with its next major update, it's adorable though!

I would reckon taming one of these as your first animal. For me, (Don't know about you though) the game throws a sandstorm in a short while after starting Ark: Scorched Earth, and these guys detect weather effects.
