Y’all… ichthys most certainly do get attacked in the water. Tell “nothing attacks u on them” to my ichthy who was violently slaughtered by an alpha mosa. Unless you play mobile (which is only about 5% of ARK players if I had to guess) they definitely get attacked even if you are in the saddle.

DONT WASTE SKILL POINTS ON STAMINA! IT ONLY DRAINS STAMINA WHEN ATTACKING! THIS FISH CAN OUTSWIM MEGALADONS (and maybe mantas?)!

Well, I read the comments about them being aggrod by everything in the sea and thought "but I'm in shallow water? And there are 0 sharks? Only these 3 friendly dolphin who swam up almost ASKING for me to take them under my wing?

Well, after no time these guys were following along behind me in my boat!...... and then they were eaten at our first stop along the coast....

Tamed my first one today a 135 kibble tame. I've never tamed water mount before and I am on Center. R i p scratchy. My Level 55 came scratchy 2 will never replace you. I need a scratchy because it's an itchy saurus AKA Itchy and Scratchy. Yes whether or not you're on it or not it gets aggroed

The no aggro thing seems to have disappeared. I tamed two of them, and every shark and manta nearby came and killed them

On mobile literally nothing will aggro to you if you’re riding one.

Usually, Ichthys are OP in mobile as they initially are mounts that don't get aggroed on like arthros and rafts. As long as you stay on the dolphin! But for your information, this is STRICTLY for mobile users.

BUT!!! For some reason...everything aggroes on my ichthys!! I tamed three ichthys and they all got killed because stuff aggroed on it! I didn't even attack anything and the ichthy was just chilling beside the beach! Why did this happen???? Is my game glitched? Or is it a glitch in mobile that nothing aggroes ichthys on mobile and thus my game is no longer glitched? Whatever it is. I need to fix this!!! But HOW???????

P.S. This is a rare occurrence, usually ichthys don't get aggroed on in my games, so it's not my ARK that's the problem, it must be my world that's the problem. But idk how to fix it!

More of a scout than a fighter, I went to the edge of the map with this once.

They are so easy to tame since you passive tame them,their saddle is at a low lvl and u can even get their saddle from just doing the taming pursuit of ichty,it’s really fast and gets it’s stamina fast,and they get ignored by every creature so ur pretty safe

These guys finally have a use!

Tame one and level it up purely on health.

Boom! You now have meg bait and if you really want even mosa!

They’re basically the pt of the ocean. They’re very fast and easily to tame, but have quite low stamina and weight and can’t fight anything. Great for travel and taming since you can shoot from their back, but you’ll get better underwater mounts later on. On mobile however, they have a very useful feature where no aquatic creatures will aggro onto you! This makes them very useful for almost anything in the ocean except fighting. Hope this helped!

It’s about five times faster when tamed, a must have for fast ocean travel (watch out for sharks though)

While it's weak in HP, it benefits for the ocean. In Mobile, NOTHING will ever aggro it, not even a Tuso (unless you bite it) with decent speed and rider weaponry, their hunger drops by a lot when sprinting. If you try to tame deep sea creatures (like me and a Mosa) I highly suggest to bring TONS of food. A few stacks for your starving Ichy and the good food for the fricken Mosa that feels like it's extinct.

Put points into stamina and speed and then use it for underwater oil and pearl gathering. But make sure you wall off a pen for it, or it will get eaten.

Nothing attacks you even if you attack them while you’re mounted on it, therefore riding on the back of an ichthyosaur will get you free prime meat and free alpha drops like black pearls

I havent tame one but they can gather prime meat like bro and also I heard on phone that Megs become passive if you ride it like SSHHEESSHH so if you wanna have a 3 million year old meg tooth its completely free if your using a itchy on phone done

For people who are not near the ocean you can still tame one and use a cryo pod to take it back to base I use mine for silica Pearl runs and my base is in the middle of the desert

If you're taming a pelagornis don't kill them they just drop raw meat no fish meat😔😔
