When taming, put narcotics and kibble (or just fish) on a nearby Dino or chest under treetops not too far from the shore. Then, collect berries from bushes as you walk to the bird. They’ll agrro on you, and they can only steal the useless berries you got before (also Ark devs, make it so when they eat narcotic they stole from the player, their topor goes up. It’s realistic, and will make our live much easier) bola it when it swoops in, hit it with a club or something, and boom! Tamed.

It took 1 tranq arrow with crossbow for lvl 5, but I wasted about 25-30 tranqs in the process. So have about 40 tranqs and a crossbow.

Put ALL YOUR DINOS in passive, because this thing dies SO MUCH EASILY and them, tranq them, and feed.

AND NOT SHOT IN THE HEAD, THEY WILL D I E

These numbers are very off. The kibble gives 1% so rather then the handfull it clames it is far more. Only raw prime fish seems acurate.

I could knock out a level 20 with a club within the time a bola would stay on it. I would also suggest taming a pegomastax or two and make their kibble because it can take hours to tame it with fish meat. Then just tame more and more until you can destroy anyone.

The way they fish is really buggy but they look cool so its necessary to tame one

First of all on the taming endeavor. Make all foods are stacks of one and clear your taming group because you'll probably have to use whistles. Mine tore off on a killing spree instantly on tame. I suggest a bola and placing your first shot from far away. That'll give time to spin up the bola.

Once tame I suggest setting 'Hunt and Retrive'. My trials on hunt have resulted in chasing it to get it to go passive and land.

If anyone knows why it has a saddle slot I'm very curious to know why.

It can also hunt Dodo's giving extra prime stand by a grill and set it on a aggresive for lots of cooked prime meat. Also does bonus damage to Trilobites but cant carry them back.

A 120 Kibble tame didn't take 20 minutes and 3 narcotics on x3 taming. It took about 30-40 minutes and about 10-15 narcotics. Always bring extra!

The egg incubation time and time spent as baby are wrong. Its less than 4 hours as a baby and less than 2 hours for incubation.

Wait for it to land a level 45 took one traq dart and 4 kibble

I tamed a 90 n 10 using a dickwads behemoth gated pen, aggro them inside a behe gated base n they'll fly away into the gate to be bola or even btr, they'll get tired n land

Use a grappling hook to grab it while over land then use your darts

Good for raw prime fish meat and rock prime meat

Only took 4 kibble for a lvl 75 on official paper instead of 6

These very annoying seagulls are kinda hard because to bola them is hard because they are fast when they go down to steal something from you. If you can boal this bird knock it out with a club and also tranq arrows. And for its food give it raw fish or cooked fish to tame it.

Bola it from the sky over land and shoot ONCE with a crossbow (no headshots) then wait... if its really bloody then there’s a good chance it’s going to die but if you feel like it needs one more shot than go ahead

Get a storage box and fit all your stuff in it apart from the weapon your using to knock it out so you wont have to worry about being stolen, aside from the taming weapon. Then when it is knocked out, get your taming stuff from the box and tame this thief bird. It's that easy.....

Defenetly needs regular kibbl to tame. Not simple as intended in patch notes.
