Hyaenodons are fast, opportunistic pack hunters that target wounded survivors, corpses, and smaller mounts; avoid fleeing, and fight from a secure position or use a stronger mount. Their leaps can clear stone windows, so secure nearby tames and use rocks or terrain to limit their movement. Large packs are especially dangerous, while smaller groups may retreat; an alpha can be tamed after its pack is defeated if it remains nearby.
