Tips & Strategies

What are tips for hesperornis? Tips and strategies for hesperornis in ARK: Survival Ascended & Evolved.
I haven't encountered these yet and this is just a maybe but i think maybe you could use a pteranodon or some other flyer that can pick up animals, you can make a 1x1 hut without a roof and drop it there, and make it be right next to a water source with fish to make the process quicker. If the water source is shallow enough you could use something like a trike or a baryonyx to insta-kill a bunch of fish, and I'd probably recommend saber-tooth salmon since coelocanths give too little taming effectiveness and i don't think piranhas are worth the hassle.
Like i said, all of this is a big maybe, and maybe it doesn't work
How to tame a hesperornis
1.knock it out and realise that ur a beach Bob
2. forcetame it
Pain in the ass to tame. If you want a large egg, tame a Mouschops, way easier.
How to tame?
Go to a small lake, they are usually there.
Check the water temperature in the lake *at night*. You're going to be in this water for a very long time. If there are sabertooth fish in the lake, it is a significant bonus.
Clear the lake of any predators, you're going to be there for at least three hours unmounted, so be prepared.
Enter the water and start killing fish. Take their bodies and arrange them on the beach. Take one corpse and approach Hespronis from behind. Feed him the fish's body. Continue like this for three hours, as you chase him like a madman in the water throughout the day and night.
Put it on your shoulder, smile.
Don’t tame … takes too long and is crap
I was taming it, when it got to 81% after about 30 fish or smth it ran in front of me and got hit and went all the way down to 0.1 taming.. 1like = 1 more taming %
Feed while they are swimming cum up under them so much easier need them for their golden eggs. Then you don't have the fish in the way out in front of you
Just kill a creature near you.
Use piranha the taming % will be higher than other fish.
God alive they don't want much do they
Tried to tame one earlier (you gotta drag them fish. Don even do their own hunting like! Lazy birds) kept dropping the fish trying to feed them taming bar ended up going down when I was on 25.7% I gave up beestrd birds
Aka pelicans on alcohol pls up
Can you find these in ARK MOBILE?
I am just asking if you could and these in to ark mobile
How to farm golden hesperornis eggs efficiently:
1. Get a tamed female hesperornis and set it to neutral
2. Put it on your shoulder
3. Go to a river or a place with a lot of fish
4. Go to either a coelacanth or sabertooth salmon nd kill it (piranhas don't work)
5. Release the hesperornis and let it harvest the corpse
6. Put the hesperornis back onto your shoulder
7. Do steps 4-6 four more times, essentially letting it harvest 5 fish corpses.
8. Release the hesperornis on land
9. Wait for it to lay a normal egg, if it's not ready to lay an egg, it will say "enable wandering or mating to mate", if it is ready, it will say "ready to mate" (basically wandering will be automatically turned on if it is ready to lay an egg)
10. Pick up the normal egg
11. Repeat steps 3-7 three more times
12. Release the hesperornis on land
13. Wait for it to lay a golden egg, if it's not ready to lay an egg, it will say "enable wandering or mating to mate", if it is ready, it will say "ready to mate" (basically wandering will be automatically turned on if it is ready to lay an egg)
14. Pick up the golden egg
15. Repeat the entire process to farm golden eggs. You can also put the golden egg in somewhere that preserves food or cook it into extraordinary kibble right away, they have a noticably short spoil time but it's not that bad.
Summary:
Basically you have to have the hesperornis harvest 20 coelacanth or sabertooth salmon corpses, which can be divided into 3 intervals of 5 for it to lay a normal egg, and finally another 5 for the golden egg.
Explanations:
Turning the hesperornis to neutral will have it be able to harvest coel and salmon corpses, while preventing your other tames (if you have them nearby) to also target whatever your hesperornis is targeting if it is set to aggressive.
It will also save time if you don't want to wait for the hesperornis to do the dive attack again after it kills a fish.
Having the hesperornis harvest the coel/salmon corpse is enough for it to be stacked to the hesperornis to be able to lay eggs, you don't have to have the hesperornis kill the coel/salmon.
After it harvests 5 coel or salmon corpses, wandering will automatically be turned on to prevent it from doing any other action, (and probably for it to wander to land) this can be indicated if it says "ready to mate", in the creature window.
It will always have to harvest 5 fish corpses every time you want it to lay an egg, no more, no less, that's a fact.
It will always lay 3 regular eggs before it wants to lay a golden egg, that's a fact.
And finally:
No, piranhas don't work for hesperornises if you want them to lay eggs. That's a fact, and probably the source of some of y'all's error.
For going against the norm, i'll gladly accept your downvotes, but please consider everything in this tip as 100% accurate.
He best creature in the game
Chapter 1 the attack.I was wanting to lead a hesperornis to my base (which was 4 torches in the North zone (when he started attacking me and I lead him to my base which he destroyed my base
Yeah how to says it… I just downloaded the Ark mobile revamp and it took me only 10 minutes to get annoyed by these little j*rks. They steal and trust me they will rob you. They will rob your resource, they will rob the fish you was hunting for fish meat and they will end up robbing your life
A 3.1x size salmon only gives 9.3% taming effectiveness to a lvl 150 on singleplayer, and loses 0.6% taming effectiveness, making it virtually impossible to tame a hesperornis with a base level of 224.
