Taming & KO Tips
How do I tame a griffin? Tips and strategies on taming and knocking out a griffin.
Starve timer is waaaaaaaayyyy off.
For a trap go look up Captain Fatdog on YouTube, it’s a really cheap trap and it works!
Best place on Rag to find Griffins in the mouth of the river that runs through the canyon, right next to the swamp. At least 5 different spawns in this area, I've seen 3 in one spot before 😂😂 hope this helps anyone looking for a good taming spot!
I have a way that doesn’t require dino gates but does require something else: Get 10 stone pillars, one stone ceiling, a stone stair, a flyer (pteranodon is preferable), darts and meat. Set 5 pillars in a U shape and double stack them and put ceiling on middle pillar. Lure Griffin into trap and place a stone stair behind so can’t move. Dart it and BOOM! You got a Griffin!
A net projectile will trap a Griffin, and as long as you have two players shooting the Griffin with shocking tranq darts, you can knock these guys unconscious pretty fast.
Actually pretty nice and easy tame! (If ya know what your doing and have the requirements but what dinosaur do you not have to plan to catch??) so just search up ‘cheapest griffin taming’ on YouTube and boom griffin. Also making them breedable please imagine a baby griffin 🤭🥰!!!
They take allo kibble, so make sure to bring some or your feeding them a lot of prime meat
Use desmodus and shot fro back of it i have tamed 5 griffins using this method
We are currently taming a griffin right now easy tame just hop on the back of a tapjara
Player 1 fly it
Player 2 hop on the back seat with tranq darts or arrows
And it will chase you so you can get a head shot every time
I hope this was helpful if it was you can like not saying you have to so bye
These things are slightly terrifying. Taming is very similar to an argentavis, but since they're so fast they are hard to catch once they start to fly away. A taming pen is recommended unless you have a tapejara with another tribemate to shoot at it. Allosaurus kibble works the best but alas mutton is a wonderfulalternative since the ovis is abundant on Ragnarok. These creatures are a bit narcotic heavy so be ready! Very worth it though!
Griffins aren’t as hard as their cracked up to be honestly. I mocked out a griffin and almost a second higher level one in less than 15 minutes. The only reason I couldn’t get the higher level is because it flew away and all I had was an Argie (Which are slower than griffins) but all I did was fly out and attack them with my Argie and flew to a flat area they followed me and my Argie is only a 105 but he’s a absolute tank.
But anyway he took the hits easily and while they circled to attack him I shot them with tranq arrows. I fell like they are better than darts because darts are so expensive for some people. But if you have a Bronto and an Anky than you can get alot of darts easy I can if I want just lazy lol.
But you should be able to take the hits with flak they also have a big turn radius so it makes it even easier to tame.
If they start to run just go ahead of where they are going and land and shoot. But if you can I like to just get around lots of rocks on a flat hill or plateau or something but alot of rocks and alot of space. With these conditions they should get hung up on the rocks so you can just shoot them while they are stuck. Anyway this is my first of many post so please hit the (up) ^ arrow. ( if you don’t want to you don’t have to.
Have a great day and remember Tickle chickens are not friendly.
It’s simple Net gun the sucker and shoot it😝
Good ol net harpoon and mantis with clubs and you’ve got yourself a freshly tamed Griffin
Look up Nobblets newest griffin trap, cheap and super easy to build works great for argies as well.
Why do these tame faster in pc?
Has anyone noticed that if you tame a low level (my 2 were both lvl 16) after they are tamed all stats decrease by a good margin.
With the release of Genesis Part 2, you can use the net projectile to stop the griffin in it's tracks
130 tranq arrows 2 crossbows for a 145 20 pieces of mutton to tame approx 48 minutes 4.9per mutton
4 stone gates and 2 gates on each end worked fine for a 150. Knocked it out with prim crossbow and hecca mounts of tranq arrows. Really ope dis helps :)
DO NOT use tranq arrows WITHOUT a trap... I tried that and they ran away across the darn map.
