Best place on Rag to find Griffins in the mouth of the river that runs through the canyon, right next to the swamp. At least 5 different spawns in this area, I've seen 3 in one spot before 😂😂 hope this helps anyone looking for a good taming spot!

Me personally, griffins are the best flyer in n the game, once you have tamed one you’ll never need another flyer.

For a cheap trap look up captain fatdog

So if you want to tame a griffin you'll need about 50 tranq arrows for a 1-35 lvl then 50+ for any levels 40+ and two crossbows (just in case the other breaks). You don't necessarily NEED a trap but it is recommended! (Bigger traps are always better). You can find traps on yt. (ALSO MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A PTERANDON) ALSO BRING NARCOTICS! I thought I didn't need them and I was mistaken, so I had to use narco berries. SO YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

So once you got all of that you need to find a griffin. Once you've found one you'll need to knock it out by putting it inside the trap. Or you can make it surround you (it has terrible turning radius) then knock out. If you don't have a trap to use on the griffin it will run and probably agro on another dino while trying to run.(use that chance to knock it out, try not to do it over water). Once knocked out feed narcotics when the unconscious level gets to the first " s" . Recommend prime meat or mutton but just normal meat will work also (normal meat will just have less than an effect) then boom! You got yourself a griffin!

I have a way that doesn’t require dino gates but does require something else: Get 10 stone pillars, one stone ceiling, a stone stair, a flyer (pteranodon is preferable), darts and meat. Set 5 pillars in a U shape and double stack them and put ceiling on middle pillar. Lure Griffin into trap and place a stone stair behind so can’t move. Dart it and BOOM! You got a Griffin!

Actually pretty nice and easy tame! (If ya know what your doing and have the requirements but what dinosaur do you not have to plan to catch??) so just search up ‘cheapest griffin taming’ on YouTube and boom griffin. Also making them breedable please imagine a baby griffin 🤭🥰!!!

Please be careful after taming they have such low health a compy can kill them I play with load difficulties yeah so I came to level five but it only had 32 health it was literally killed by a bug

1. Build a Trap (You dont even need Beartraps)

2. Pull the Griffin with a Pteranodon and bringen it in the trap

3. Use Tranq Darts to knock it out (normal Tranq Arrows might kill it)

4. You have a Griffin

Make sure to trap griffin using 4 Dino gates and two doors or have fun chasing it around

These things are slightly terrifying. Taming is very similar to an argentavis, but since they're so fast they are hard to catch once they start to fly away. A taming pen is recommended unless you have a tapejara with another tribemate to shoot at it. Allosaurus kibble works the best but alas mutton is a wonderful​alternative since the ovis is abundant on Ragnarok. These creatures are a bit narcotic heavy so be ready! Very worth it though!

A net projectile will trap a Griffin, and as long as you have two players shooting the Griffin with shocking tranq darts, you can knock these guys unconscious pretty fast.

warning: if you're playing on ragnarok, make sure you don't go too far from it, and come prepared with some kibble or mutton, i was taming one in the canyon part, then i realized i needed some narcotics (btw my base was on the other side of the map),, long story short i went to my base and got the sleeping medicine, and when i get back thanks to the tracker, and as soon as i get there the griffin was inside the ground,then i decided to be stupid and dismount my flying creature and get killed by a sarco and the alpha raptor that was behind him, AGAIN make sure you come prepared and with food so you don't suffer the same i did

would recommend bringing a snow owl to help tame one of these. griffins have high torpor, but low health, and can get dangerously close to dying while you're trying to knock it out. a tamed snow owl can help heal a wild griffin.

They take allo kibble, so make sure to bring some or your feeding them a lot of prime meat

For a trap go look up Captain Fatdog on YouTube, it’s a really cheap trap and it works!

Use desmodus and shot fro back of it i have tamed 5 griffins using this method

you can use arrows instead of darts if you have it in a trap! drag a corpse to the griffin once it gets low; it'll eat the corpse while trying to attack the trap and regain all its health so you can keep firing. cheaper than making a bunch of darts.

It's a simple tame all you need is 3 WOODEN Gateways and two doors lead it in then you got a griffin.

DO NOT use tranq arrows WITHOUT a trap... I tried that and they ran away across the darn map.
