griffins have a special ability that’s kills your Dino’s

I literally was SO SAD when I found this out.But if your trying to tame a griffin,word of advice (literally),make sure it respects you,bc I've been trying to tame it so many times,and I can't tame the one I SPECIFICALLY WANT just bc he doesn't respect me,and if u don't know how to get a griffin to respect u,is ig get to lvl 95 or higher or wear a gold crown,sorry but that's what Google says,anyway,I hope this helped-user12234612 (I don't have username so I made up for now)

you can build a trap with: 1 stone foundation, 1 stone railing, 3 double door frames,1 double door and 1 holed ceiling.

you place the foundation then the railing on your right, on your left you put two frames on top of eachother then you put the ceiling so that it's over the foundation, you place on your opposite side a double door frame attached to the ceiling (it doesn't touch the ground) and you place the door on the lower frame.

you make a griffin follow you, you should pass trough the trap with the railing on your right and the door on your left

as the griffin is inside you go to te side and close the door, congratulations now the griffin is trapped.

Tips on tamming Griffin in ark mobile:

1: it's called the royal Griffin and they are identified with random name's..

2: you can tranquilize them with your rifle darts to tame them but be careful because they easily loose torpor quickly! Suggest feeding it narcotics to keep it asleep

3: keep feeding it narcotics to decrease it's food bar and let it starve(don't let it starve for too long or it will perish)

4: feed it prime meat, (or coked prime meat) or oviraptor kibble for A fast tamming

5: if you're a level below 90 , and they say that they don't respect you (suggest Buying a name change ticket and name your survivor as the same name as the Griffin )

Eg: Griffin: Azagar, (survivor: Azagar) let's you ride them

But you can only tame and mate Griffin's with the same name tho

6: if you're level 90 and above, you can tame and ride any Griffins DESPITE their name difference,(still can't breed them if they have different names)

I found the best way to tame one is to get on a safe cliff high above one, just far enough that a fabricated pistol can hit it (helps to have a scope on it), also have around 50 bullets. Shoot it and it will turn directly straight line to you, as it’s flying straight at you just hold the trigger the gun will fire full auto. If you positioned yourself far enough away the Griffen will turn to flee before it gets to you, meaning you’ve weakened him. At that point switch to tranq gun, chase him and you can force him to get stuck in the side of something, I corralled him into trees and a cliff using my tapajera (any flyer you can ride will work) At that point you just need to shoot him around 10 times in the but with shocking tranq or 15-20 regular tranqs bc he’s weak. Then I just used prime meat. His torpor drains slow so if you need you can even leave to acquire more.

If you play on switch, you can use admin command, summon/summontamed Griffin_Character_BP_C to get one of your own.

In ark mobile I tame a couple of female allos to make allo kibble and tame lower lvl griffins to breed. With the eggs make Griffin kibble to tame higher lvl griffens and get 100% tame effectiveness. Yes allo kibble can tame a Griffin but it takes a long time even with blams and you'll lose tame effectiveness.

If you want just force tame but me and my brother have a rule for force tame that's pretty self explanatory " a soul for a soul" so now I have Anubis and not a crystal wyvern.

You can find them on the mountain closest to carnivore island.. that’s the easiest way to put it. 😉

I play ark mobile a lot, as well as regular ark, and in mobile I don’t think you need prime meat.. at least not for the first 50% or so. Once when taming, at 50% it stopped taking regular meat and I wasn’t stocked on prime meat since it expires so quickly, so I lost that one. But the next time I tried it took regular meat all the way?? Still confused, but I got a griffin!!

I stopped using RG because I tamed a Griffin.. it’s so damn fast.. quite easy to tame..

Just buy chef station(25 amber) and 200 mixes(20 amber).. get a soothing balm from Hunter cave… go to griffin mountain and set a ston strap with 4 stonegateway and to reinforced door..search an with the same suffix a your name…don’t knock out,. Let it be Evening.. sleep in night and knock in the morning… give balm and allosaur kibble and boom.. it will be in an instant koz the fooz level wil go to 0.. it’s nit hard as it sound… just give it a try… sorry for my poor English.. hope It helped…… i tamed 3 with this technique

Taming a griffin is not easy, they keep moving like most flyers, I would tame them with a trap and tranq darts and use mutton or prime!

A good spot to find them is in crystal isles, by the Wyvern nest. They’re in a little crevice type thingy and they are EVERYWHERE!!!!!! You can just find a good level, lure it into a trap(on YouTube, there is someone named captain fatdog with a ton of good traps!), knock it out, and congratulations, you have a GRIFFIN!!!
