To tame this u will need: quetz, pelagornis (pelagornis has more health than pteranodon), extraordinary kibble, biotoxin and lots of it, a longneck rifle because a crossbow will kill the Griffin, flak armor because you will get hit a lot, and health brews. First build an argie taming pen on the quetz: a 2x6 foundation structure 4 foundations tall walls made entirely of double doorframes and one side having a dino gate, only also build a platform on the side for you to stand on. Next fly up to the griffin and have it aggro, now it should be circling and attacking the quetz, try to lure it in with the pelagornis, then let the pelagornis get killed while you close the gate. Do NOT move the quetz or the Griffin will clip out of the trap. Now stand on the side platform and shoot the griffin until it either falls asleep or is almost dead, if it has low hea lth wait some time because healing it with a owl will make it fall out of the trap. They are only found on Ragnarok, don't listen to anyone who says else. Also they can seat 2 riders, need no saddle and have a dive bomb attack that does a lot more damage

Dododex is wrong about the tame timer and narcotics needed. Double the timer, a level 15 needed 40+ narcotics to keep down for duration of the tame. Just to give you an idea for higher levels.

Tamed a lol. 100 said 67 arrows from crossbow took way more than 67 arrows.

Knocked out a 140 and it's taking way longer than suggested with mutton

BRING LOTS OF TRANQS LOTS a lvl 25 took me about 35 arrows to knock out they are carzy!!

You can farm with his Powerbomb much more Hide, Meat and even Prime Meat.

Build an argy taming pen,jump on a ptera, kite it in. Simple.

I built a taming structure for it and wound up not using it. Just rifle scope tranq. Wasted allot of time on resources.

They should update this to what the griffin can pick up.

Go ahead and get a megalosaurus, grab it, and then sit down, relax, and pound it hard with tranqs

Some of the natural caves work as impromptu taming pens, as long as you park something at the entrance.

tamed a lvl 200. wasnt easy but just keep shooting it. torp drops fast. merica

Always make a taming pen with a Dino gateway with small holes, otherwise we will definitely have a good hour or 2 trying to tame this thing.Faster than Pteranadons, can pick things up, faster picking up than Argys or Pteranadons, Fastest Dino on Ark. Takes Many, if not 70-80 darts. Dive bomb is useful if attacking land dinos, or if you pull up in the air while diving, you will go just a bit faster. If you angle yourself more sloped then straight, then slowly look up towards the middle of your screen, you will go a bit faster I'm guessing. No saddle required. Can hold two people on it by simply going up to it while another player is riding it and pressing Triangle or the required buttons to ride/interact.

It's a lie that they can only fit through Behemoth gates, they fit through Dino gates as well which is used most for traps

Clear / storm the castle and block off the two larger entrances in the middle room which is also the largest, using one behemoth gate and one stone dinosaur gate, then block the 2 staircases with stone foundations and you have an enclosed fort. Finally place some pillars and ceilings in one end of the room to hide underneath of, so you can safely shoot any griffin you trap in the castle room with you?.

They have a wide Turning radius, easy to take out with an argent

3x allo kibble for a 150 on a 10x taming server and no narco needed for perfect tame. Using sevens tranq kit and dream machine/nightmare rounds at 6k Torp each took 3 shots.
