WARNING: if you lag on a server you might clip the ground and not know it and the next time you land your griffin will take infinite fall damage and die. Sometimes you don’t even have to land and your griffin will die mid air. There is no way to prevent this just remember to carry parachutes.

if you are taming one you should make trap so it wont run away with high torpor and if it wake’s up you can knock it out again

Can't seem to find any on lost island. Went to three different spawns and haven't found one. Found a lvl 120 alpha carno, but no griffin. I even watched a video on spawn location's. Still couldn't find one.

Griffins are just one of the best flying mounts in the game they can do some crazy dive bomb move and it takes damage, you can even use weapons on the mount and you can tranquil enemies from them and they cannot get you

To tame this magestic beast, hit it to anger it, take it high into the sky (away from all things itll try to attack) and lure it into a trap made for pters to be able to pass through. They create dust which makes it hard to see where you need to hit at times. Its takes a ton of tranq darts. But its worth it. Pump stam, health and weight and its a faster tape. And its beautiful. Says 90 some tranqs from a crossbow for a 145. It takes 129 arrows out of a crossbow.

I recommend using the trap syntac made in his taming a max level griffin video. It’s soooo much better than the gates. Btw a pteranodon can dint through the space between two pillars, a griffin can’t

It's basic swipe from the ground is rather weak. It's strength comes from being able to dive swipe. To utilize this, you will want to focus the camera on your target and fly above then straight down at the enemy, while left clicking to swipe a claw in air. This does unreal massive damage, potentially thousands of damage.

An incredibly good and cheap taming pen for a Griffin is using on dino stone gateway and 4 stone fence supports. Search Kaizer from Crete on YouTube. I used it last night to tame a 145 Griffin. 10/10 (also works with Argys) 👍

If you are wondering why sometimes you can’t dive using the griffin it’s because you are opening the map you can dive if you’re map is closed
