Taming & KO Tips

How do I tame a gigantoraptor? Tips and strategies on taming and knocking out a gigantoraptor.
Drop egg a short distance from the nest to distract the parent then hide inside the nest the baby will approach you and do one of three dances you have to match the dance emote to start the taming
So first of all this tame is much easier with two people. First thing to do is get the parent away from the nest/baby with fert eggs we used giga eggs and once you do have the second person stand on top of it with a Rhynio or anything like that to get it stuck. Once the second person is standing on it you go into the nest and tame the baby. Make sure the baby stays away from the parent because if they get to close the parents will agro. Lastly if the parent agros the only way to get it to stop and keep it away from the nest is to knock it out and let it wake up again otherwise you will have to go in and out of render until they de agro
take plenty of fertilised eggs.
1. drop egg near nest. too far and parent wont take it. too close and parent will aggro you.
2. when parent takes the egg, walk to the nest (dont run) select option to hide in nest.
3. wait for baby to come to you, mimic the emote the baby does from the 3 emotes available.
4. repeat previous steps until fully tamed.
Dont move to far away or tame progress will be lost. Kill parent after tame as they do not spawn another baby.
To tame the Nanny bird you need to find a nest(usualy in forested or grassy areas) and distract the parent, DO NOT KILL IT. Once the parent is distracted or unable to get back to you and the nest, hid inside the nest and play a game of Simon says with the baby. It will do 1 of 3 emotes which you must respond to quickly and mimic. After you have successfully tamed the baby it will gain bonus levels
Didn't know they are picky eaters. They either eat berries or meat.
Theis Eggs make superior kibble.
Laid out one egg then flew near the nest and waited for parent to go. Snuck into nest and hid. Did all the moves. When parent had finish the egg I just stayed still and carried on with imprinting baby. Got lvl 70 and after tame lvl 94. I'm must've been lucky parent didn't chase me. Wore ascendeded Ghillie and riot Armour.
I tamed using fertilized Dimorphodon eggs and was able to get one baby interaction per egg.
Trapping mama does not work must be distracted by egg and not aggro to anything up to keep updated
Step 1: sneak in nest
Step 2: hide in nest
Step 3: play with baby
Step 4: raise baby
Step 5: enjoy
Found around red obelisk and green obelisk, parent needs to be close to the nest as everytime you complete a prompt with the baby, the baby will want to return within a certain radius to the adult near the nest and may return for a second prompt if adult is still busy eating fertilised egg.
Step 1: Locate in the wild.
Step 2: ????????????????
Step 3: Profit!

You just survive the mother, don’t kill her. And then do emotes to the baby in the nest (sounds crazy but yes this is for real) to raise taming effectiveness. Currently we are attempting to trap the mother close by to then attempt the passive emote taming
Easiest tame of my life! I got my ghille and a few eggs and just ran up and dropped the egg, did an action with the baby and rinsed and repeat.
If you are starting out use bronto eggs but only place one down one at a time
You can pretty easily tame a low level one early on. I used one fertilized trike egg and a sarco for tanking some hits from the adult gigantoraptor. Don't even need ghillie.
Clean up foliage near and under the nest, then place the fertilized egg on the ground away from the nest. Wait for the parent to walk towards the egg and then jump in the nest. Do one round of the minigame with the baby gigantoraptor, then get out of the nest and run to pickup the fertilized egg from the ground before the adult gigantoraptor devours it.
If you get aggro run to and mount your tame that you parked on passive to the side. The adult gigantoraptor will soon get bored and return to the nest. Now you can repeat the same process until you have tamed the baby gigantoraptor and pick up the fertilized egg one last time and hatch it if you'd like.
Not sure why people say you cant tame baby gigaraptor with parent trapped. I did it today as of March 30 2024. Used 6 foundations, 4 dino gates with doors, 4 walls (2high each side). Lure parent into trap, close gate, go to nest to tame. After a couple mimic attempts baby doesn't do mimic gestures. Probably why they say it doesn't work. But if you make 1 of the stone walls a secret door way, go in trap, punch parent (to gain aggro) leave trap thru secret door way, leave aggro range(or until away from parents render distance) go back to nest, repeat. I found this resets the baby to do gestures again and parent is trapped the whole time.
Can’t tame for like 1-2 weeks have done everything fully gilly giga egg nothing mom still finds me no matter what
Parent cannot he trapped or baby enters go into the imprint stage. Best bet is to have full asc ghillie and sneak into nest while parent is facing away. No eggs needed. If u prefer to use eggs then I've found yuti to be one of the best. Generally get at least 3 imprints per egg. Once baby is tamed the parent will no longer aggro on you but it's best to kill her as she won't spawn another baby there. Once grown you have the ability to imprint on any orphan baby dino by using its call then getting close to baby, putting cross-hairs on it and pressing triangle. You can also incubate 2 eggs at a time in the saddle which will not hatch after timer expires until prompted to do so. Add the eggs by placing in chickens inventory, selecting the egg, then in the centre bottom of screen u have the option to add egg to basket. You can also bond with any baby dino up to rex size I believe, by placing dino in basket and killing creatures that have a red skull n xbones over them. Once bonded you can then give the baby a 30% imprint by killing and eating a bunch of dino. Bonded dino also get a nice boost while close to the graptor, making them good to take to boss fights, paired with the yuti boost. Multiple dino can be bonded to one adult. Adult graptors also produce feathers u can plick every once in a while that will give a higher % chance to pass a pre determined higher stat to baby when breeding. Just place the desired feather type in the mother when breeding. Shares spawns with theri
Where to find.
Been seeing them in large numbers around green on. The spawn in jungles and I've noticed they most often spawn on the cliff edges on jungle mountains.
How to tame.
DO NOT KILL THE PARENT! We also could not get the baby to emote with the parent far away. Best to Dino door trap parent within 50ish feet (stone, they can damage wood).kill anything hostile in the area. Hide in the nest and mimic the babies emotes.
