As long as you don't bump into them you can just follow them around feeding them berries. I took a good bow with me to clear out any hostiles around the area but it was a pretty easy tame.

For some reason the Maewing doesn’t nurse these, even though it can pick them up. You have to stand by with berries ready.

Pretty easy to tame if you follow these steps :

Using Wooden Billboards to trap these guys is a cinch; no foundations needed, just place and go. Also, these fellas can wear hats. Neat!

If your planning to tame one here is what you will need to do, first get at least 8 titanaboa egg kibble. By means of chef station or otherwise, next get to the redwoods and find one. And kill every single carnivore in the area around the gigantopithicus. Then sneak up behind it crouching and feed it the kibble. repeat. Bam you got a big foot!

Just stay behinds them don’t let them near your tames and don’t touch them just let them eat if you do well your dead...

Have tamed him yet but I no how to make a box of stone and a wood with a door get his attention and run to the box and climb up the ramp and out the door and fly on the parodon fly up until he stops his anger and slowly go up the ramp until you see his head and and tap him with berries and done with it

Just crouch, it thinks your a monkey. Feed it, don't push it stand still. Pretend it's the alpha gorilla and your not. Until you tame it, then sit on its head

Also these things are like the small monkeys but on steroids

Follow it and keep your distance when it gets hungry sneak up behind it and feed it and then walk away try not to get too close

I found mine in a swamp / river place but at least make sure there are 2 or more big foots so they can fight and survive.

I've found him every time walking along the beach of the redwood biome. What was mentioned earlier works, build a stone trap. One foundation 4 door frames get him to chase you in then seal it. A random sabertooth tiger showed up during my tame attacked him and reset my timer, so beware.

By brushing up against this big guy while taming will make him angry and will badly affect taming rate.

Get an Argy and then pick this one up and drop it in a pen! Make sure there is a door and a window so you can crouch and feed them berries. If they see you, they WILL TRY to destroy the pen and you can’t take them as easily. Make sure there are also no bushes near by so they won’t fill up on those. :)

From my experience grab it with an army and put it in a box then shuve berries up its ass

If you find one you have to sneak up behind and feed it berrys and backup far away so it dont get mad at you.

Just do a drive-by on a flying creature and feed him as soon as your behind it. I’m taming one that way and he got mad at me and came at me so I just flew up, so I just waited until he realized he couldn’t get me. In my opinion, terrific way to do this task.
