i tamed one. it took FOREVER. but it got ALOT of plant-species-X. i grew one and its basically a tame. i named it bob. it shoots spores at enemies. so get a tame with platform saddle and grow a buncha em. like a quezt and raid enemies with your killer plants. name yours bob? :)

While not very useful in normal ark they can act as op damage swarmers in sotf and are ez to tame

Person who owns shiela, I hope if you ever find Sheila their ok and you can bring ‘em back to have as a tame again, also I pray for you to have TheAxeMan luck, buddy’s luck is dog**** but when it comes to finding tames my man could tame and lose every Dino in the game, and then just stumble across them in the middle of getting annihilated by a pack of compy’s 🤣🤣. But he somehow seems to always find his damn Dino’s, good luck to you if you go to find Shiela.

Anyone else think that these should be able to be carried by everything since there like a human?

If your to lazy to do everyone’s box idea ( like me ) just get a ride and follow him then hop off when he’s hungry or just use Ghillie amour and follow him crouched!!!

Since extinction they dont passive gather fiber

One of the most easiest and strongest for low lvl starting up.

Build a trap boat and go search for one high lvl. They don't require any saddle. So means you can ride them even at lvl 1.

They are Really strong melee and with a huge knockback effects.

Later you will take him in caves

You will collect berries easy

You will collect fiber really fast.

You will collect thatch really fast.

You can put any helmet. Giving him flak helmet and more and he receive way less damage then some 25 armor saddle from other mounts

You won't regret him.

You will want baby's

How to tame a gigantopithicus:

1 Grab some berries

2 Sneak behind it

3 Shove the berries up its ass

4 run away so it doesn’t aggro

5 rinse and repeat until it is tamed

They throw rocks when there aren’t tamed

I find them in redwood forest, tame them, and name them “man” even if it’s a girl. They are the bast for battle just not against spinos... rip man

I once had one called kong then a yuty jumps off a cliff scares the shit out of kong and that was the last I saw of him

Very useful tame. Good at collecting berries and fiber mainly. I'd say get two high level ones and breed them for health and melee and they'll be pretty tanky bodyguards for you.

Sneak up behind it, and feed it mejoberries. If he/she attacks you, outrun it and hide behind a rock or climb.

Trying to find a high lvl female is a hard fck task to do. If u kill otter, u no find this guy

Grab them with a crab and stand under them. Easy tame.
