Looking for a action filled knockout and taming process, you found the right creature, For anybody who does not know or wants to know, I recommended reading this tip, I have tamed 2 gigas on singleplayer, and 3 of them on mutiplayer, anyways starting of with number 1. Giganotasaurus is a VERY, very dangerous predator, When severely damaged by a single attack it will activate its Rage buff, this buff makes its bite almost twice as deadly, gains a slight speed boost, and will automatically aggro on basically ANYTHING, I think if there were two gigas and one was raged, they would try and kill each other, Even killing one isn’t an option, the typical wild Giga starts with 80,000 health, and (I think) it has 150 melee dmg, and from what I know, they do 400 dmg per 100 md, sodevide that by 2 your thinking somewhere about 600 dmg per a single bite.

Up next is number 2, Make your move. Taming this beast is actually easier said than done, I suggest a quetz as your pet for taming this beast, as It can carry a lot of equipment you WILL need for taming, you need to prepare to tame this, the cheapest trap you can use is stone, know the higher the lvl the more dmg it does per second, so don’t use stone for high levels, I (most of the time) use metal Dino gateways, as they cannot destroy it, also bring 3 beartraps, a few stacks of narcotics, (or a lot of bio toxin) As much arrows and spare cross bows, or bows because if that one breaks game over, you can’t fly back to base and expect it to have the same amount of torpor as before. Bring a weapon of choice, for defending yourself from other creatures during or after knockout, I find swords or high ranking axes or rifles to work quite nicely, these creatures like quetz kibble, so definently consider making some, it’s expensive but worth making rather than crying that it takes so long to tame without it, make sure to pack urself food, and water (I use veggies as they do both) make sure u have decent ranking equipment such as: apprentice, journeymen, master craft as they inflict more torpor, thus lowering the tranqs needed.

And finnaly number 3. Location and apprehension. Finding one is hard if you don’t know where to look, I find them quite common arround the mountains of the island, most commonly in the arctic peaks, or the grand hills, Once you find a Giga find a flat area and place the trap, leave space in the corners of each one so that 1, the Giga cannot get out, and 2 it will get in the trap easier. DO NOT place all of them down, place 3 in a box shape, and save the last one for later, one the gates are down, place the beartraps and spread them out inside the trap one ready this brings us to 4. Lure the Giga in a straight path with no obstacles (removing them safely will be less obstructions that might send the Giga to the wrong direction) one inside the trap, insure that it is stuck in the trap (it will be looking down and head tilted and biting down on the trap) now fly behind it with your flying pet, and place down the final gate behind it forming a box arround the Giga that will not give way, or let the giga out, this will make taming the giganotasaurus easier, next grab a few bows or crossbows, and as much tranqs as you can carry, do not use rifles for darts, it takes longer for it to knock out because of its long reload time, and does not have a headshot torpor multiplier, crossbows and bows work better, grab one stack of narcs, and as much tranqs u can carry without becoming easy prey for other animals, now you can safely begin the knockout process, once knocked out, take all of ur narcs (100) and stuff 50 of it in to give you time to grab the rest of the supplies, 10 quetz kibble should be enough for a lvl 100 or lower, the more the safer chance of taming it, check on it every 20 or so seconds to make sure it’s torpor is not going down, it loses 500 torpor per second so stay vigilant. You can knock this fella out without metal gates. All you need is 4 behemoth gates, and a bear trap. Put them in a square shape, and put the trap in the middle. Don’t forget to put gates on the gate frames! Make sure there are small gaps in the corners of the gateframes so you can still shoot tranqs at it. Lure the giga into the trap, and when it can’t move because of the bear trap, close the gate behind it, then start shooting it. I hope this has been a big help!

Only if I woke up as strong as I was before

To find a good giga on mobile:

1. Tidy save and fly to a few spawn points and normal save if there is no giga

2. Repeat until u find one - if it is not the lvl u want, restore last save and fly near it without spawning in (to save time) then save again

3. Keep restoring save and then go near the area to spawn it in again and again until u find one with a high lvl, nice colours, etc.

Just get a gold rifle or crossbow my rifle has 347.7% AND it just needs 61 darts forma a level 100 to TAME wish me luck. For the trap u needs 4 metal signos AND 2 large Bear traps first u place 3 metal signs like this [_] then the two Bear traps In the middle then u make the giga to follows you make sure the Gigi gets trap In the Bear traps now quickly place the last sign In the back, wait like 1-2 minutos to meke sure the giga doesn't escapes AND after that you just hice a Lot o tranq arrows/darts. AND that's it u hace ir giga contratos

I tamed one using my argy with 10k hp. I built 2 metal gates around a bear trap (a common trap a lot of people use.) However I kept messing up and having to demolish my gates. After making multiple mistakes I found out that metal billboards work too. (the big signs. not the little ones.) Also, my 10k hp argy couldn’t tank it for long to lead it into the trap. The giga I tamed was lvl 25 and it was still hitting for like 400 dmg per bite. You’re never invincible with these things. I brought about 600 tranq arrows and over 1k narcotics (overpreparing is much better than underpreparing.) I lead it down to the beach to trap it. Its a flat area so it works well. Lead it into the bear trap, place billboards or gates behind it, and then shoot it like crazy with tranqs. (it should be 100% stuck by the time you start shooting.) Also, honorable mention! IT RUNS FASTER THAN ARGYS. I havent tried with Ptera but they have trash health anyways.

On ASA Ragnarok official server settings no bonus it took me 501 shots of tranq arrows to the head for a 145 Giga. PLAN ACCORDINGLY Survivors.

Just tamed my first giga after playing the old ark mobile and the new as well as having it for console.. after 2 years i have finally achieved victory granted it was only a lvl 5 but i lured it to the northern coast closer to blue ob mtn but in between the 2 snowy mtns then i proceeded to commit suicide by falling from said cliffside 16 times half from dismounting my flyer to clise to the edge and half to freezing. Did get chomped once, story aside with my mastercraft bow about 25-30 tranqs were needed and about 80-100 narcotics and ill say this in the time it took to jump on my bird fly down the cliff and access the inventory of the giga its tapor was already down 2/3 ended up wakeing up 4 times on me but finally i lucked out got him down loaded him with prime broke down spent the 50 keys for double tame speed and still pumping narcotics in him fast as i could he still got down to 700 tapor before he tamed, that being said the stam sucks, health got tanked hard 80k wild to 37k tamed and im doing like 100 damage vs the insta kills it was getting on me, ultimatly im disappointed beyond belief because my lvl 180 rexs (far from being max lvled) have better stats, the omly good thing iv seen so far is its vertical mobility atleast that didnt get tanked, if theres a slight angle to the terrain and not 100% vertical these guys can usully find a sweet spot to make the climb.... good luck out there with your taming! and dont just take my word on gigas it could just be where mines super low lvl it sucks so bad

With sanguine elixer and instead of using exceptional kibble use extraordinary kibble then it will tame really quick on official servers.

Lead it to green obelisk and knock it out in the shallow water its perfect to use as a giga taming pen.

Real tamer’s test. Will put both your patience and your ability to keep something down.

P.S.: if it seems stuck in a terrain, SURROUND IT WITH GATES. It’ll get out sooner or later.

Forget about needing a bunch of dino gates and bear trap. Search up "How to build a giga taming trap" by Captain Fatdog on YouTube. Only need 4 pillars, basically. Works like a charm, EZPZ

U actually just need 3 Metal dino gates and a large bear trap to knock a giga , just place 2 metal gates like a top side of triangle / \ , then place the large bear trap. Lure the giga to the trap , then place the last metal gates behind it . Just make sure the gap isnot very big. Then shoot it with about 150 tranq arrow and there u knocked it out.

If you’re on mobile and looking for one to tame, tidy save your game, wait five minutes and look on the mountain connecting to the volcano. I always find one

Just pelted one with 100 Tranq darts and it still didn't go down, note to self, bring more next time.

If you have a 500%+ dmg rifle and shocking tranq darts dont even hesitate to tame a giga, it doesnt even matter what lvl. Just make sure you have the narcs and kibble

If you are In ascended you won’t need a trap because they almost always spawn in the mesh
