I just tamed a giga yesterday by using normal dinosaur gates and this is how i did it Step1:Grab an animal with a flyer(I prefer argentavis) Step2:Lead it into the redwoodforest.Step3:Wait for it to go near a very big tree(Not redwood sapling)Step4:place three dinosaur gates around it.Step5:Go near one of those tree bridges and stand on the outside.Step6:If there is two of those big trees that cannot be chopped or knock down blocking the giga start shooting the giga with a mastercraft crossbow and grab like 170 tranq arrows.Step7:If the giga breaks the gates and it tries to chase you the two trees will block the giga and keep shooting it.Step8:If the giga starts running and it crashes into one of thoose big trees again and there is two keep shooting and if it falls use a soothing balm and feed it raw prime meat and feed it bio toxin and boom the giga is all yours(Btw i am on ark mobile i hope this helps:)

A Giga doesn’t do exactly 500 damage if you have armor. Giga’s also can’t damage metal gateways so building a few of those and create a circle with them, trap him inside and boom you basically have a giga, just make sure to have enough narcotics or bio toxins cuz they wake up hella fast. They get nerfed hella when tamed as well so don’t expect this over powered Dino when taming lol

It takes a lot more tranq darts than you think... Dex said around 410 for the lvl 135 we just took down, it was more like 800 darts (with a ram rifle) and 150 arrows (with mc crossbow)... bring ALL the darts!!!

Make sure to clear the area from threats as it is a knockout tame. This thing is a rare spawn on mountains. I recommend tranq darts and a longneck rifle to knock it out best bet is kibble to feed it.(torpor lowers quick so bring a lot narcotics hope this helps

Step 1: offer the beast something to eat... like the guy next to you

4 metal Dino gates and a giant trap is all you need.

The amount of narcotics you need are most likely wrong. I used the amount it says for a 120. I used up 2 stacks of narcotics and a stack of biotoxins.

There is a cheap way to trap and knock out a giga

What you need:

1.) Find a flat surface (so that the trap works well)

2.) Get 4-5 metal billboards

3.) Get a flyer that can carry some creatures (e.x. argy, quetzal)

5.)A small creature that can place the billboard while mounted (e.x. dire wolf or raptor)

6.) Soothing balm X10 (if you are on mobile)

7.) Prime meat and Quetzal Kibble/Exceptional Kibble

8.) LOTS OF NARCOTICS/BIO TOXIN

And 9.) Lots of tranq arrows/tranq darts

Setting up the trap:

Find a flat surface with no creature in it then place 3 metal billboards at this shape \_/, after that go and pick up a creature so that the giga chase you then once its in the trap go and far away and ride the small creature (get far away so that the giga doesnt aggro to you) then place the billboard on the back and voila you have trapped the giga [Test if the giga is really trapped by making it chase you], lasty knock out the giga and maintain its torpor.

I already tamed an giga at lv 78 and the tip was just get lots of tranquilizing darts and when he runs get into an area where he will get stuck while running and that's it easy tame. Btw be on top of an area that's above the length of him.

If u own a tamed Giga try to not fall of something because if it loses 1000hp or more instantly , it will rage. That means that it will throw u off the saddle and probably eat you, so be aware!!

Another way to easily knock these Guys out is just on a griffin not the passenger seat and pump atleast 1500 stam onto ur griffin and just hover over your giga and just rain fire

When I find a giga, I lure it to a location I find easiest to get it stuck. Easiest way to lure it is by placing a dodo or a monkey on the platform on your quetz. It'll register as a land dino and remain aggressive to you. Then get it into a position where if it runs away it gets stuck. I do this with natural traps and solo. Good luck.

They are in Fjordur, at least both in Normal and R versions. For trap captain fatdog's is nice.

I've tamed hundreds of giga. This "IS" the best trap.

As for everything else, bring 2x the amount of supplies that you think you will need.

I had a giga glitch on me once and instead of just the 87 shocking tranqs, it took the 100 tranq arrows I happened to have on me...flew back to my base got 400 more and put 200 more tranq arrows into it. Enjoy your new Giga!

Found mine around LAT 22.9 LON 48.9

Lvl 125 female tamed it with about 2*40 pieces of reg meat 10% per bite with with about 1000 -3000 bio toxin

Took about 100 darts and 100 arrows to knock hope this helps (and one 10% soothing balm)

On mobile you just need this a compound bow can get it with arthro and 4 metal gate 1 large bear trap and when you trapped it spam it with tranq arrows give it some soothing balm 10x and make sure you pack a good amount of bio toxin and now you have a trash giga with 18000 hp instead of 80000 hp

I recommend if you’re raising a baby there food drains really fast sometimes and mine died so, I use potent dust in their inventory and put all 50 of the levels into its food and then after that potent dust into the rest of their stats. Really helpful for not babysitting and actually going around and doing other things

If you wanna find a giga (old mobile), tidy your save so these fellas can spawn, i found 2 near the frozen teeth. Just don't dismount your tame and you'll be fine..
