Before knocking giga out, I would suggest having a good Longneck Rifle or a crossbow. 300-500% damage will do the trick, I have Longneck Rifle 547% damage, worked just fine for lvl 20 giga - 9 shocking darts or so, crafted with bio toxin. Bring surplus of toxin. To actually knock it out, use a quetz, a tribemate who has a good aim and just shoot the giga. Watch quetz's stamina though, it might take a while. Otherwise build a trap, metal if available.

Why do people make this so goddamn complicated?

Just watch the Sl1pg8r giga taming and do exactly what he did

Take snow owl and fly above it and freeze it then place metal gates around it...( its easier with tribe mates) then get out of there ASAP... owl should have 3k stam and 3k Heath

Build metal walls on a METAL foundation otherwise the giga will get out of the trap when you lure it into the trap. Make sure the walls are tall, and put a large bear trap in the center then make a metal dinosaur gateway without a door, but make one and put it in your inventory then get on a flying creature then stay low to the ground and make the Giganotosaurus follow you into the trap then fly up. Quickly put the door up while the giga is trapped in the bear trap. Then tranq it.

The torpor tuner is broken, a giga will wake up in around 30 seconds, not a minute 30. Will need to be fed 1000 narcotics, not 394. Don’t trust it!

Make a 3 by 5 out of metal fence foundations with the skinny side facing the giga then stack FOUR high metal door frames all around and on the side closest to giga place down pillars made of wood and a wood ramp going on the side of giga then lure the giga up the ramp with a flyer and knock it out

Really pissed off rn it said 57 shot from my ascendant CrossBow and I shot it 62 times within 5 min and then 22 more from my mastercraft longneck which would’ve take 51 tranq darts so that was almost another full half. Something must be off with the giga torpor on Dododex rn. Fix it

Get a tribe to knock it out, also try to find a rock formation to get it stuck into. My tribe found metal behemoth gates and used them, took us a couple hours to tame with raw prime meat on 2x tame speed. Have fun trying to solo tame a really high level giga if you aren't experienced in the game.

Get a quazt then find one get off ur bird and u will stay on top then shoot it with tranqs

This guy is easy to tame, especially with a tribemate and an argy. Carry him with at least 500 narco arrows and 2-3 crossbows. Than load up with minimum 500 narcotics. For most level 25-75 giga's. It's a hard knockout with out trapping it but once you have hit him with enough arrows he will run and usually get stuck in a mountain or drown in the sea. Lol your luck... anyways have another Dino ready to bring who can gather you prime meat or have quetzal kibble and you'll be fine. Good luck or bad luck and get it eaten by a damn dilo!!!!

So I was showing my firnds how to tame a rex all my friends ran away I prosied to try to tame it and it turned out to be a giganotosaurs and keep in mind ive never heard of the giganotosaurs ive never mistaken a giganotosaurs for a rex ever again

If you knock it out but its in a forest at night you better start running because chances are you lost it and it woke up now its right behind tou

If you've never heard about a giga, it's probably best not to go out and tame one

Do damage to the giga before knocking out this will make the gigas health go down and the food to drain then when you knock it out it will already be starved down best for pvp

Tamed a 125 Male last night did the metal gateway trap. He almost killed my Quetz after I got to safety my quetz health was at like 500 health. Brought Giga back to base he takes up most of our base but was worth it.

If you plan on using only fists to KO this dino, you will need a very large tribe.
