How to tame a giga

Step 1: use a behemoth dinosaur gate way with bear traps large ones

Step 2: lock him in by placing walls

Step 3: tranq it out

Step 4: feed it raw or prime meat

Step 5: you have tamed a giga

Best way to tame trap it with 4 metal gates if cliffs near trap it there then have around 500 to 600 tranq darts ( depends on level ) then light en up

You might need 1000 to 1500 narcotics

To tame a giga you to knock it out I would recommend using schocking darts then knock it and feed it meat or kibble

Now I have a rifle that’s 407% damage and it only took 10 hits to knock it out for these guys u need exceptional kibb or extraordinary and if you find two rocks make it angers and run thru the rocks and if u did it right u have a traped gigs works best on rag in the deathsands there is a canyon I’ve tamed 2 this week from that so yea also giga babies give so much Xp great to level dinos with

If you have a tribemate and a trap for this gargantuan beast, simply use crossbows ramshackle+ and bunches of tranqs to knock it out, Have a balm 10x or 15x, and have 1-8 quetz kibble. And there ya go, ur own Giga. Oh, and also, BRING NARCS. LOTS AND LOTS OF NARCS!!

If you’re going to tame one of these, trap it with metal gates and a bear trap and only use tranq arrows! Tranq darts are much slower and if you’re reloading your rifle and the game lags, you will lose all your progress and it’s torpor may drop to 0!

Dont tame a low level, its too much work for a giga that gets wrecked by a dire bear

I found that the easiest way to tame one of these is with a griffin since you can basically shoot through the griffin and the turn radius helps a whole lot so just fly up and shoot away. Oh and try to have a high dmg crossbow. I had a 485 dmg asc one it takes about 30-40 arrows for a lvl 30 giga depending on your aim and the chase he gives you.

On mobile, you can use a Griffin to tame me of these because you can use weapons on the back of a griffin

Get a quetzal with a platform a friend and stand up their and shoot it

I severly underestimated these thing a lvl 22 shredded my lvl 109 argie then after and almost killed my lvl 116 rex while taking barely any damage

How to tame a Giga easy way:

1: All you need is 4 metal billboards, which work the same as Dino gates but way cheaper. Also need a lot of tranqs and narcotics, sleeping bag to get the Giga to 0 food (only works if u are on mobile) and a soothing balm if you’re on mobile. Also a high level Pteranodon

2: Find Giga and lure it to a flat area(Make sure you’re keeping the aggro of the Giga and don’t get hit too much. Recommended a good movement stat.)

3: Trap it when not aggroed. Stay on the Pteranodon or the Giga will aggro on you.

4: once trapped, sleep near it so it’s on 0 food. This glitch only works on mobile so if you’re on other devices, sleeping bag is not required. But I’d recommend using it in case the Giga kills you. After this, shoot it with tranqs until it goes down.

5: if on mobile, apply the soothing balm and let its torpor drop and then feed it a ton of narcotics. If on other devices, recommended bring 2-3 stacks of narcotics. Let its food drop for a little but keep an eye on its torpor. When food drops to a good amount, feed it prime meat or Quetzal kibble and it’s yours!

The i think easiest way to nock-out a giga Is with metal plaque. If you place the metal plaque wrong you are dead. The best is if you place it like a House that fell on the side… I Hope i could help you :)

If you are breeding for mutations tame a low level female, as low as possible as you can clone them and mass produce eggs for mutations

Tips& Precautions for taming a giga.

Precautions

1. Always use a trap. trying to tame it without a trap is quite hazardous even with Griffin's or quetzals.

2. Expect your tames to get hurt and die

3. Always bring Extra Ammo and narcotics.

Tips.

1. I recommend using Crossbows because they are quicker.

2.Always be try to feed it as fast as possible because the torpor drain is high

3. Don't fight them(speaking from experience)

Guide

1. 3 metal signposts. One large bear trap. Box formation with enough space for it to enter.

2. Agro the giga in the box.

3. Place 4th signpost to complete the square.

4. Knock it out , and feed it Kibble only.(other foods are worse even with balms)

5. You now have a giga. And a corpse of all your tames and all your narcotics expended.

Hi there! Just a quick reminder for those who would like to tame a giga :)

These things have a torpor that decreases by 100 each second, so I suggest you to bring a whole stack of biotoxins since their torpor drops extremely fast!
