DO NOT I repeat DO NOT try taming one of these bad boys by flying with an argey to a ledge and shooting the giga. You will drain your ammo, break your gun, kill your argey then fall off the cliff only to be devouered by this ravonous beast. I lost my favorite argey. R.I.P Amara, you were such a good companion.

If you are lucky enough to currently own an Ascendent Longneck Rifle, go for this tame. ive found that with an Ascendent level Longneck, it only takes roughly 80 tranq darts to take this beast down

These guys lose torpor so quickly so have loads of spare narcotics depending on your settings

Trap is using four metal gateways and shocking tranks work best to knock it our fast

Build a trap using 4 Metal Gateways and 1-2 Large Bear Traps. Get it in position but make sure the Gateways are spaced out just a tad bit, finish it by placing the bear traps in the middle of the three gateways and lire the Giga in. Once they’re in the bear trap, place the final gate behind them so they can’t get out. Now, tranq them til they’re out cold. Make sure to have an absurd amount of Narcotics for this, Bio Toxins work best. If you’re on Mobile, use a 10x Soothing Balm and Quetzal Kibble, if on PC use Superior Kibble.

If you playing on mobile it's actually easy to catch one

You need

4 dinos gate way

Around 300 bio toxin for a lvl100 giga (don't spam )

Shooting balm

5 quitzel kibbel

And 200 darts if you have the regular weapon. If you have the ancient one you will need way less then that

A large bear trap

Make a u shape with the gates and put the bear trap in it

Drage him inside (use a petronodon with a hight hp ) and closs it from behind (be quick)

Kepp your distance and start shouting him (don't stop till it's down)

Feed him the shouting balm then give him the kibbel

And it's yours

While this is irrelevant since i don’t think you can tame tek gigas normally, I spawned some 8n and they are actually breedable and hatchable! This doesn’t matter to much but if you looking for a little skin change it’s pretty cool

Guys is it a glitch? I tame a giga and the melee is only 20% but when it's in the wild it almost 3shot my dire bear that have around 10k HP

If you play ark mobile I recommend a tapejara and 1-3 bear traps and min 4 metal Dino gateways 1 needs 170 metal ingots build your trap and lure in make sure you aren’t too close then fly directly up now you got it trapped and now you wait for a few days and come back then you better start taming the food would have dropped lol you just feed it some and now you have a killer machine

I’ve tamed many Giga’s. The trick to being able to do other thing while taming one is when torpor is going up. It takes a lot longer for the torp to go up then down. Ex. Torp drains in 3mins, but when you give narcs it take 20-25 mins to fill(JUST AN EXAMPLE!!!!) so that’s when you can leave an do other things. Nothing bothers a sleeping giga! Your welcome!

It’s pretty easy just lure one into a trap with 4 behemoth metal gateways and gates then tranq it and tame.

Ps: it will take hundreds of biotioxin at least

If you want to tame this creature be FULLY PREPARED. Go with some tribe members and it'll be very tough but if you manage to tame it and not die you will have one of the most op dinos on the server. Good f****** luck

Best way to knock out is shock tranqs

Raised one with 1009% as baby in melee damage as adult 1500% + melee damage after levels killed a titanosaur before stamina ran out 400 stamina and about 50 stamina leftover

If you are going to tame this thing then you need

1. A flyer, bigger the better

2. 10 stacks of ammo

3. High quality crossbows or rifles

4. 3-5 Metal gateways(it can destroy stone)

5. Large bear trap

6. Food, kibbles if you can

7. 1000 Narcotics or bio toxin

Step 1. Find giga(usually on mountains)

Step 2. Land with a decent distance

Step 3. Put 2 gateways in a v shape and bear trap in the middle

Step 4. Let it go agro on you and make it go to the trap

Step 5. Place the last gateway to form a triangle around the giga

Step 6. Shoot constantly through gateway

Step 7. KO it and feed food and soothing balm if you have one

Step 8. DO NOT go away, it will wake up any minute, and feed narcotic or toxin occasionally

Step 9. Realise that a tamed giga is MUCH weaker than a wild one

If you trap it with a large bear trap, it will stay trapped for about 10 seconds. Use those 10 seconds to tranq it with freinds. When it is tranqed, feed it meat, but when it's torpor drain gets low (which it will), don't shoot it or punch it or anything. Put narcrotics in its inventory and use right tab on Xbox one (there will be a button on mobile), and its unconscious bar will start gaining for a while, and it's health will go up a little, so when you tame it it still has high health, if not damage (it loses damage% when it is tamed)

Go somewhere high where it can’t get you and shoot it

Make sure to beat the crap out of it
