Best way to knock out is shock tranqs

If you are going to tame this thing then you need

1. A flyer, bigger the better

2. 10 stacks of ammo

3. High quality crossbows or rifles

4. 3-5 Metal gateways(it can destroy stone)

5. Large bear trap

6. Food, kibbles if you can

7. 1000 Narcotics or bio toxin

Step 1. Find giga(usually on mountains)

Step 2. Land with a decent distance

Step 3. Put 2 gateways in a v shape and bear trap in the middle

Step 4. Let it go agro on you and make it go to the trap

Step 5. Place the last gateway to form a triangle around the giga

Step 6. Shoot constantly through gateway

Step 7. KO it and feed food and soothing balm if you have one

Step 8. DO NOT go away, it will wake up any minute, and feed narcotic or toxin occasionally

Step 9. Realise that a tamed giga is MUCH weaker than a wild one

I suggest you place two metal gateways forming a triangle half and put a large bear trap in the middle lure him into the two metal walls once he gets stuck place a large gateway at the end of the trap for him to get stuck once hes stuck tranq him with toxicant arrows i suggest using an ascendant or journeyman comp but if you dont have any of those a regular bow or comp bow will do just be sure to bring more narcotics like a couple thousand just to be sure its torpor drains fast so be sure to bring a lot found this concept on youtube watch pterafier in youtube title (giga spotlight)

On valguero they're found near the green orb area.

Ragnorok you can find them in the desert, highlands and the green forest area.

I recommend doing it with team members but solo works too.

If you're doing it solo:

Get a spy glass and find a giga and see what level it is.

Get your narcotics ready (the amount that is needed & also bring extra incase)

Get your desired weapon and ammo ready (you can also use a crossbow and tranq arrows but it will take longer. Bring lots of the same weapon and ammo incase your weapon breaks mid tame and bring more ammo for potential missed shots).

Get 4 metal regular dino gates and set 3 of them up in a square position. Put a large bear trap in the middle.

Somewhat further away from your trap place a bed and a storage box.

Put all your supplies in the storage box.

Lure it

Grab supplies

Shoot it from distance

When trapped in bear trap, put the 4th gate behind it! Shoot it down. If you die you most likely won't get your stuff back.

A group of 5 guys in my tribe have tamed all 4 on our server(official) best trick is dino gates and bear traps. Beware. The can occassionally glitch out of the dino gates and use rocks to jump them.

If you think a giga is cool, wait till you see the r variant.

They take ages to tame but r ones look amazing. If your gonna tame them you can you a large bear trap with metal games or shoot from the back of a griffin, tapejara (2players) or a desmodus. Get an ascendant long neck with best tranq darts and it will be easy

Mf killed my main Argy with a single hit obviously I was making trap around him (as giga ignores tames said above which it didn't, don't just blindly trust everything it might cost you your fav tame.

Step 1:use behemoth gates to build in a square

Step 2:open one

Step 3:bait giga with para

Step 4:close door behind giga when (s)he is in

Step 5:equip darts

Step 6:FIRE IN THE HOLE!!!!!!

Step 7:feed him or her your arm jk,just kibble

Saturday the 25th of september 2021, I have tamed my first Giga. I’m on mobile, I used 4 metal dinosaur gates and 1 large bear trap. I placed 3 gates in a square shape with gaps at the corners, if you put them at snap points it will be too small, I placed a large bear trap in the middle. I then got the Gigas attention and it followed me through the trap and the large bear trap activated, then go around and place the last metal dinosaur gate to prevent it from escaping. Then fire at the Giga with your tranq ammo at your will, when it falls unconscious, put your food of choice inside it’s inventory and maintain its torpor so it doesn’t wake up, I would recommend using soothing balm IF YOU ARE ON MOBILE.

I mean people won’t see this but if you are trying tame is make a trip with stone or metal behe gates of Dino and place them two in a row the one on each side on a slant going out words then run and put two Dino gate in the back

Only insane people tame these with cooked fish meat.

Hitbox so big he could bite you in ragnarok and kill your tribemate in extinction.

It takes me a long time to tame them

An easy way to tame it with no trap is to just a tapejara's passenger seat and have a friend follow it so you can shoot it

Honestly, the hardest part of taming a giga is keeping up with the torpor and prime meat. knocking out was easy if you got a really good crossbow (400%+ damage).

If you Knock out a giganotosaurus feed it prim meat

This thing is fierce and i mean fierce!It has 80,000 hp and does 500 damage (note tamed hve 17,000 and do 200 damage)they also do bleed!

For taming, you can use 4 metal dino gateframes and 2 large metal bear traps. Bring 500 narcotics and make sure you have spikes to stop any accidents. Ragnarok is best for finding high level gigas and there are 3 spawns, The Highlands, The Deathsands and by green obelisk. Happy hunting.
