The best way to KO one of these is by playing three metal gates and a large bear trap in the middle then lead the giga in the middle then place another metal gate behind it then use a long neck and shoot it out

Admin on a server gave me a giga egg for finding a titan. Someone else helped me find it and they got an egg too. The admin is nice as heck lol.

NEVER ever get your tamed giga’s health to be under 50% or lower, it will activate RAGE mode. Rage mode is an aggressive stance that eats on EVERYTHING including you and your tames even if it’s tamed. Becareful of using the giga against a powerful dino or jumping of a cliff while riding a giga, entering rage mode while riding a giga will kick you off it’s saddle and eat you. Rage mode typically lasts for 20 seconds, however rage mode will buff the giga into a deadly machine! Rage mode buff will make your giga’s damage to 2x the damage. You might notice it’s glowing eyes when you suspect it to be in rage mode. I may be suggesting you removing your best weaponry and Armor to your base when your about to ride your giga anytime if you want for a risky stunt/adventure. After its rage mode finished it’s timer, it will go back to normal and it’s still tamed if your worried.

this is tip just for ark mobile... to tame giga you need Quetz kibble. If you dont have it I highly recomend using raw prime meat. if y EVEN dont have it use cooked prime meat. To knock out giga I highly recomend using toxicant arrovs.

Put three metal behemoth gateways making a kind of U like this: \_/ then just lead it in, and place on more on the opening and it’s trapped. In the end, the trap should look like this: __ I mean kinda. It can’t get out now, just tranq

\_/ And give it a bunch of mutton. Make sure you have biotoxin to force feed it when torp gets low. Once it’s tamed, level up it’s damage to 100% that’s all you need and now just level up stam and whatever else you want u have a magnificent battle creature

Easy breed but don't walk away while hand feeding. And prepare to live 11 days in 3 to 4 hour intervals if you want 100% imprint. Mine is 2 days from completion and with imprinting is at 291.4 mellee. Born at 245 mellee lvl 231 female.

ALTERNATIVE METHOD (for mobile)

kill it

revive it* (at obelisk, preferably green)

make it fall off the cliff while you stand at the little platform just above that

tranq it while it tries to bite you (youre in the range of the bite, but you wont take dmg and the giga wont run away once in a while)

*average giga implant costs 24 amber, max takes 48

Up if you guys think this should be smaller but not smaller then the rex, because in real life giga is bigger than rex but in ark giga is bigger than a real life Brachiosaurus

Wild Gigas are walking Black air forces.

The tamed ones are the complete opposite

I haven't tested this yet

But put rocks in the Giga to weigh it down

This way if it agros it can't move and kill your dinos

You can find Gigas on the snowy mountains.

Just get a crossbow with 40 toxicant arrows, 4000 cinidaria venom, soothing balm (if console or pc use prime meat because they like it more so taming will be quicker) and 500 meat. Then shoot it down and give the balm, give it meat and if you use the balm that you get from hunt raptor it will take 3 meat pieces. This will pretty much work for any giga with 80,000 health or below (I got a 83k in my experience).

Hard to tame without a trap cause it keeps running around. I tried with tranq darts but it kept running and lost all torpor. Even a high hill won't be effective so remember to make a trap.

They are way faster than so watch out

To Encounter question about finding and trapping:

I have found them on all 4 of the northern peaks on the island. If you play Mobile, the pursuit takes you to the spawn points: SW side of Griffin peak, NNW side of Crystal peak, W side of the snow covered peak and N side of Blue Obelisk peak, although they may not actually be present there. I presume similar on other platforms.

I used the advice of 3 metal gates and a large bear trap then add the fourth (so thanks that person). They move downhill Very quickly but not back up, so I was successful leading them down to choke points or narrow valleys to trap.

Once trapped, attack to start food depletion, sleep, KO (ascendant longneck rifle and tranq darts) tame with balm and raw prime meat.

When hatching a giga egg on mobile you will need about 7-10 standing torches (Angler Gel reccomended) and then you need to wait 5 hours (be very careful if it’s too hot or too cold) this is going to take a while, If you want to fully imprint. Make a save file about 20 seconds before the egg hatches and then keep restoring save file until you get the cuddle or walk ones, then after doing that you wait for 30 minutes then save data in about 20 or 10 (depends on you) seconds before the imprint quest finishes you just keep restoring data until you get cuddle or walk and repeat. Congrats you now have a 100% imprint giga

While taming a gigs I recommend using 5 behemoth metal gate in a row and put 1 behemoth metal door on each end. Bring at least 400 tranq arrows or 350 trans darts or 300 shocking tranqs.

Taming a giga itself is very simple and straightforward like when you’re low level and you want to tame a rex.

the hardest part is, the preparation, costs, and finding the giga.

and the best way to tame it solo is by trapping it in a metal cage, also

get an ascendant longneck rifle, or a compound bow, anything that deals atleast 800-1000 damage knock out weapon. but even with this level 60’s need like 30-70 darts on their faces, and also, pack a bunchload of narcotics, preferably 300, or comfortably 500

if on mobile, get a soothing balm as i highly recommended it.

now, i have tamed one and the way i tamed it was mission impossible style :cool:

So, i got a grappler and grappled onto the giga’s back where it cannot bite me, and then just started shooting darts. although be careful, once he is torpor running, the grapple will break and while torpor running, you cannot grapple it.

and lastly, TF GIGAS SUCK
