Gigas can fly. Really. And they have extremely good vision. One saw me when I was farming meat with my Rex and flew down half the mountain and landed on top of my Rex. Rip perfectly imprinted Rex.

Once me and me tribemate was playing then he stole my para and rode it away while I was being attacked by a wolf and he was laughing. A long time later today I am a pro, as I wander the beach in full Tek armour, I saw my tribemate and my para and they are still at thatch. I killed the para to free up some taming slots and then bola-ed him near a giga.
