The structure hive that you place will get damaged over time, to repair simply destroy it and reform the hive; be sure to gather all resources from the hive before demolishing it. Rinse and repeat

If Queen Bee seems to be constantly angry. Even though your using a bear, ghillie, and repellent. Try to dismount the bear, have it follow, then work your way up to tame her. She might be angry at the bear, so when you get close to jump off and tame, she re-aggro's.

When taming a giant bee, I have a few tips. The things you'll mainly need are as follows:

- Rare flowers. Lots of them.

Giant bees don't require much of these to tame, but a majority of their use comes from using them as a fuel source for their hives.

- Ghillie Armor

Giant bees have a fairly low aggro range, so you can very easily get away with only using ghillie armor. Bug spray helps, but isn't needed.

First off, don't bother with tree hives, unless you have a pteranodon with high stamina. You'll want to spin attack the hive. If no bees come out, don't bother, there are no giant bees.

Alternatively, and my favorite method, you can tame a dire bear using a cheap two foundation stone trap, and spacing out your tranqs. Ironically enough, honey tames them fastest, which makes them easier imo due to ovis not always being very easy to find.

The dire bear is significant for their immunity to bee stings which they share with their rider. Use your dire bear to attack ground hives. I'd advise you secondary attack the hives first to gather a hefty amount of honey first, then break as normal. No fight needed.

Once the queen bee is free, hop off your mount, equip your ghillie armor if you haven't already, and make sure your rare flowers are in your taming slot. Sneak up to the bee, and spam try to feed it.

And now you have a bee! This method is tried and true, and using this method, I've gathered 3 bees in less than 15 minutes. No joke, it's that effective.

Now that you have a bee, I'd recommend first thinking about what you want to do with them.

Before you pick her up, you should think: do you want to keep her workers? If you pick her up, you'll kill them, and they won't spawn back. If you want to keep them for whatever reason, you should lead her back without storing her. This is slow, and even a little risky, but it lets her workers live.

Otherwise, if you're getting a giant bee for honey taming, I recommend taming several and forming a miniature farm for them. They produce honey very slowly, (20 mins per pot,) but you can easily circumvent this with several hives. Give them all plenty of flowers, and honestly just forget about them for a little while. Kinda like a sap tap. When you come back, you'll have a lot of honey.

Alternatively, you could install a mod like Structures Plus (S+) and use their beehive alternative for more efficient honey production. Enjoy! :)

Do not have a Chibi in your offhand when accessing the bee hive inventory, the bees will sting you even if you have full ghili on!!!

If you want a little bee pet you can upload one of the workers she spawns and then take it out and it won’t die

For me i used a dire bear and some honey

Use a spyglass and look at the domesticated hive to check how much honey is inside of it instead of having to do it yourself and get damaged.

After 23 bee hives what finally worked for me was

I used a snow owl to find the nests

I harvested the nest with a dire bear while wearing ghillie and used bug repellent

Broke the nest with the dire bear

Put honey in my hotbar to keep her right where i wanted her

While she ate it i fed her rare flowers

Boom TAMED

USE A EQUUS it breaks bee hive in one hit from buckick use gillie And put bug repellent on you and the equus i done it lots the bees don’t even fight back

You can destroy a hive with a wyvern bite. Minting a wyvern protects you from begin attacked by drones. You can also kill drones released during destroying after queen is out and you can still tame it unless drones which are following her are untouched.

My method to tame the queen is to be slightly back where you will have time to kill the bees and use something with area damage like a trike. Then i slowly shoot it down and kill the incoming bees eith my trike. I use a spyglass to make sure that im ready to aproach. Once the nest is in its one shot range i just get close and finish it off to start of the queens tame. Then i do the same thing with my trike and play a little gsme with the queen.chase feed fight repeat.

You don't need bug repellent or a grilled suit.

The reason you would use these is to keep agro off. If it's not agro to you you can tame it. I quite literally just did this in flak armor and no bug repellent after blowing up a hive with C4.

Taming a Dire Bear is your best option with the Giant Bee. First, break the hive, either with the bear or with a gun, then(with a a full set of Ghillie armor and Bug Repellant) walk up to it with Rarer Flowers in your last slot on your hotbar, press the prompted button(E on PC, triangle on PS4, and Y on X Box). After that, you can hold the same button when looking at the Giant Queen Bee, and have her turn into a Bee Hive. You can place this down at your base. The hive must have Rare Flowers in it or it will begin dying. Make sure whenever your enter the hives inventory that you are wearing a Ghillie Suit, otherwisse you will be stung repeatedly. After a while, you will obtain honey, which can be used in many recipes

I love how it says it's a herbivore but it eats meat????

The drones will instantly die if you get far enough wat from the hive, so in the redwoods just parachute away once you grab the honey.

RAGNAROK TIP: Type of bee: tamed, if you tamed this or forced tamed this MAKE YOUR BASE AT TYRANNOGON RARE FLOWERS SPAWN THERE, if your bee says get beehive hit the button you need to take it, if your beehive when placed at your base has rare flowers it is healthy and you probably know this but it needs rare flowers. Now please don't downvote and report me cause it says to downvote and report false information cause I am on switch so it might be different than how PC or mobile or Xbox is.

If you are playing on console non-dedicated server. Their is a bug where you’ll see loads of wild Queen bees just floating around. As well as invincible nest. (Or no nests found) I took advantage and tamed every queen bee I saw flying around.
