Use a snow owl to deflate the gasbags and keep them from flying away and you heal them so you wont kill them with tranqs.

Here’s a great “Utility” for the gasbags.

Step one: Murder one of these

Step two: Make a delivery crate.

Step three: Record your enemy’s base’s coords.

Step four: Attach 10 C4 to your delivery crate.

Step five: Send a little “Gift” to your poor enemy.

This is basically a fat caterpillar. I heard they are like pack mules because they have a lot of weight capacity. They also look adorable.

This is a great tip:

1-Tame a gasbags and any kind of wyvern (not crystal)

2-Tame any farming creature (magmasaurus is the greatest bc it farms everything, metal, crystal, wood, stone...)

3-when your magma (or any massive farming creature) gets encumbered transfer everything to gasbags’ inventory.

4-When gasbags gets encumbered you carry it with the wyvern and wyvern is going to get like only 600kg weight so basically it’s infinite weight.

This is the only flier that can be used on genisis. So if the amazingly fast bloodstalker is not your ideal transport, then this beanbag-balloon-bug is perfect for a slow paced surviver.

They do still take fall damage, I learned the hard way

Use 6 or more stone dino gates like you would on argy (after update) to trap- with 2 doors on the end, then pump full of tranq darts.

Idk why no one wrote this but if they have a slight bit of gas in em they will take reduced fall damge so when your flying keep a bit of gas and fall down you wont feel a thing

They spawn in lunar caves on genesis and the wasteland on extinction

They can inflate and then they can do three things, do a huge jump that will deflate them, float/glide, and do a knockback attack that is similar to the diplodocus' only attack. They can also seat more than one person at a time

Fun fact:

They are believed to be part of the Tardigrada phylum, a group of extremophile microgranisims that can survive literally any environment, from extreme cold to extreme radiation, these guys are the hardiest of animals.

Keeping oxygen in reserve prevents fall damage

They have a damage resistance when inflated, so use a snow owl to freeze and deflate. After latest update, they can no longer be picked up or hit with bola. Heavily suggested to clear area of hostiles before KO. If timed right, you can keep gasbag in same area while tranqing by alternating freezing and shooting.

If your like me and on extinction DO NOT USE THE GEYSERS my gasbag had 209 gas in them and I stood on a a geyser in the badlands and it flew me higher then the obelisk, my gasbag had no gas left by the time I was even close to the ground and If you don’t know, gasbags have to have a decent amount of gas in them if they want to survive a fall like this, anyway, it flew me higher then the obelisk and was out of gas BUT I know a sneaky trick 😏 if you dismount your gasbag you will be on top of it and while dismounted the gasbag won’t take fall damage and because you come out on it’s back you WONT fall to your death and your gasbags survives! Now that’s useful anyday with a gas bag am I right?

Inhale to increase damage resistance, get a decent level saddle, back up slowly into turrets, tank all of the enemy's turrets

So bc most comments are from pve players here a pvp tip use them for soaking have them mate boosted veggie cakes yuty roar a deadon on passive healing and a good saddle no heavie or auto will stay in your way with a good gasbag and a food stat deadon

1. Get 3 wood dino gates and 2 gate doors

2.use a snow owl to freeze da gasbags

3.build the gates and put a door on each side

4. Knockout gasbags and feed mejo berries

5.BAM. tamed gasbags.
