When they’re inflated the reduce dmg and with that torpor so when it says you need a certain amount of tranqs you actually need a lot more. Also just put some gates over it and it’s easy to tame

1. You do more torpor damage to it when it's deflated.

2.Best way to tame them is to have a friend on a frost owl freez them in play that dose two things. Keeps them from moving and also auto deflates them. Best way so far I have seen.

Freeze with a snow owl to stop it floating away

Just net gun them and tranq until they turn sideways just be prepared for a fairly long wait to tame unless using superior kibble :)

Requires much fewer shots than listed for deflated knockouts. Use an owl (to freeze and deflate) and a net gun and/or Dino gates to make it a very quick knockout.

How I knocked out a high level one in single player is I used my looked around the waste land with my poison wyvern level 120 (bean cosumer) . Found a highnlevel one grabbed it with the wyvern (press c on pc while flying)took it home. I put it in this small stone house and traped it in there got my level 225 equius in there and knocked it out after a while. If its trapped you can use any level of torpor inflicting creature as long as it won't kill it . By far the fastest way to knock is a high Melee basilisk which you don't even need to trap the gasbags with. But I don't most people have one of those as they take fertilized rock drake eggs to tame and I am still having trouble stealing one of those.

Note that it will take two to three times the recommended amount of tranqs for knockout (with crossbow at least, i assume the others as well)

When trying to tame a Gasbags the easiest way is with a snow owl and freeze it and get ur friend to knock it out

Use a Kaprosuchus to hold the Sumo wrestlers down, and punch it in the face till it goes to sleep.

Knock it out from the head like a doedic his bottom body is armoured

When he starts to suck in air while standing on his back legs shoot his belly. This does higher top or dmg.

When they suck in air they take much less damage and torpor if you can try to hit them when they are deflated

If you have gen two, you can net and put two dino gateways and gates as close to the middle of its body as possible. Make sure to bring either lots of tranqs or an owl

Ok so get a harpoon gun with the net

And then get some barries or superior kibble for PC/console users I'm a console and so yeah you get the point and then get some darks and and knock it out easy

Just make sure you secure the area bc I'm playing on hardcore rn and holy I almost died trying to tame one 😭

Use a net gun to trap them so they don't float away, makes taming a whole lot easier for sure.

You do more damage (and torpor) when it’s deflated. Try and force it to blow you back so you can get the more damage

I use an argy or owl to peck and lure the gasbags into a trap, since they seem to run away from humans who punch it.

If you netgun them it prevents them from inflating and if they are already inflated it deflates them
