So I just did shot it two times with tanrq and gave it 30 mejoberrys and 50 narcotics. I don't understand what's the problem. It's fast but you just need to have a good aim. I am on mobile.

Use the wooden club to easily knock it out without killing it.

I tamed it with a thousand berries and 50 narcotic

Grab it with an argent or wyvern and drop it in a pen. Note you cannot bola a galli

Approximately 20 scorpions and frogs

Took way more than 52 narcotics for a lvl 45

If you dont have traq darts go for a low lvl. A lvl 15 should take two to the head and one to the body.

Use a magnifying glass to make sure the health is 100%. When knocking it out there is a high percent chance of killing it.

Bring all the narcotic you can and you will need them .

Another thing you could do is surround it with bear traps after it's bolas and start to knock it out. This is good if you don't have building resources to spare.

Do not listen to Dododex this thing needs to lose way more food than they say.. save yourself the narcotic

Best is to drop it in a taming pen. With or without a taming pen, use a bola to keep it in place and hit in in the head with a hammer. Higher grade of hammer the better. Did this 100% without a single one dying before knock out. Tranq arrows and cross bows I killed 8 of them before I gave up and used the hammer technique.

Starve it to 0. The calculator doesn't reflect actual taming speed.

It is better to knock it out when its on water

They are pretty weak as a mount but they can help you in making Castro(beaver) kibble. So just tame them for the kibble.
