The Obelisk
-Chapter 46-
Crimson slammed her eyes shut. It was all coming in. Too fast. Too fast. Too f a s t.
She thought leaving the swamp would help. But it wasnât. This was a mistake.
The grief was flooding in.
She thought sheâd forget.
But the memory was still clear as day as it sunk. Back. In.
***
The swamp used to cover half of Fjordur. It stretched and stretched form coast to coast, as far as the eye could see.
But at this time, the Swamp was much less. Now it was much smaller, each tree and sinkhole and muddy pond slowly being replaced with new territories as the land adapted.
Crimsons home was in the biggest Swamp left, right by Runheimr. It was beautiful.
Her home was a a small burrow dug in the dryer part of the swamp, itâs roof and walls made of reeds and sticks and a few branches weaved together, forming a house strong enough to keep the water out but let light in.
The only way in or out of the burrow was a small hole you had to dive intoâwhich led straight to an underwater tunnel that led outside.
It wasnât much. But Crimson grew up there.
The sun was about an hour before setting, and Crimson was inside, getting her little mud pool ready to sleep in.
Her mother scooped her up in her arms, and Crimson laughed. They nuzzled snouts and and Father entered with a splash from the entrance, shaking water off his scales.
Mother started singing. Crimson loved singing. âYou are my sunshine, my only sunshineâŠâ
âYou make me happy,â Father continued, âwhen skies are greyâŠâ
âYouâll never know, dear, how much I love youâŠâ
Crimson finished. âPlease donât take my sunshine away.â
Her and mother booped noses, and Crimson began the next line. âThe other night dear, while I lay sleepingâŠâ
âI dreamed I held you, in my arms,â Mother filled in. âAnd now weâre here dear, and you are with meâŠâ
âSo I sing this song to you,â father sang.
They sung together. âYou are my sunshine, my only sunshine, you make me happy when skies are grey. Youâll never know dear, how much I love you. Please donât take my sunshine away.â
Crimson snuggled into her mother happily, and reached out for her Father. He gladly joined in the hug.
âSo⊠CrimsonâŠâ Father said after a moment.
âWhat?â Crimson asked.
âYou know how ever night before sunset, me and her go out hunting, and come back before bed with your dinner?â
âYeah,â Crimson said slowly.
âWe were thinking, that maybe⊠this time you could come with us.â Father said.
Crimson gasped. âReally? Honestly? Youâre not talking a bunch of bullââ
âLanguage,â Mother warned.
âSorry. Youâre not talking a bunch of bull-dung?â Crimson whispered loudly.
âOne hundred percent the truth,â Said Father. âWeâll go now.â
âYes! Yes! Yes! Iâm going HUNTING!â Crimson cried. âLetâs go! Waitâis anyone coming with us?â
âNope,â said Mother.
Father nodded. âJust me, you, and your mothââ
There was a sudden boom from outside the burrow. Mother and Father snapped their heads up.
Another boom sounded, followed by another, and then there was a yell, and suddenlyâsomething small and shiny burst through the roof.
It looked like a lime, green and oval shapedâonly it was metallic and different somehow.
âWhat is thatââ Crimson had barely enough time to finding the sentence as it bounced acrossed the floor and by Crimsons talons, and beeped, beeped, beeped, right to the last second.
Fathers eyes widened. âGet in the water!â
âCRIMSON!!â Mother screamed, her and Father leaping forward.
At the last second, both Mother and father jump and shoved her back, right into the entrance tunnel. She sunk into the water.
B O O M. The sound was muffled from underwater. A few seconds later, Crimson regained her strength and swamp up to the surface.
She climbed out, gasping for breath.
Then she looked up.
Her home was gone. The whole section of her swampâit was destroyed. Fire clung to anything dryâ creature fleed in all directions.
Red liquid stained everything around her. Her parents were nowhere to be seen.
Crimson didnât speak. Her eyes slowly moved acrossed the landscape, staring.
She stood in place, the water dripping off her scales, blotting the red marks in the mud.
âMom?â Crimson called. âDad?â

Chapter four: the joker.
A man about eighteen walked through the area where the performs practiced at the circus. He had short blonde hair, hazel eyes, and pale skin. His name was Jaron and he was on a mission. His master Tom constantly sent Jaron on missions because of JaronâsâŠ..gifts. His sister Hailey thought that Tom was their father. Jaron wasnât sure. Just like his sister his mind was ratherâŠloopy. He had been sent to find one of their targets who was disguised as a performer in the circus. A head poked out of Jaronâs jacket. It was Jaronâs pegomastax, Peggie. âPeggie get back in there! And donât steal anything!â Jaron scolded. Peggie frowned. âI canât help it!â Peggie whined. Jaron pushed her head back in. A muffled grunt came from inside. One of the stage managers walked up to Jaron. âWho are you? Are you a clown?â The man asked. Jaron gave him a ludicrous grin. âNo Iâm not a clown, Iâm more likeâŠa joker.â Thatâs what my friends call me. If I had any.â Jaron said. The man scowled. âWhatever. Go join the other clowns.â Jaron gave him a mock bow then bounded off to where the clowns where. He scanned the performers until one caught his eye. A woman with shaggy brown hair and a exhausted face was sitting in a corner. âThatâs her.â Peggie said, sticking her head out of Jaronâs jacket. Jaron scowled. âPeggie!â Jaron exclaimed exasperated. âSorry.â Peggie disappeared back into his jacket.
Jaron headed to a seat in the back of the crowd as they watched the performances that came on stage. Finally the act with the target came. She began juggling balls. Jaron raised his hand and with his finger drew a invisible straight line in midair. Suddenly the target on stage paused and the balls she was juggling fell to the floor. Then she fell to the floor, a straight red gash across her neck. She was dead. âMission complete.â Jaron whispered. The crowd began to panic and Jaron and Peggie slipped out unnoticed.
I hope yâall are enjoying!

Dodo Tales (S3 Ep10)
"Get ready!" Somebody yelled as the doors opened. "FIRE AT WILL!"
They fired their weak guns, but they barely did much as the unexplained man in full modified flak walked in. whipping out a pistol he shot two dead, pulled out a second and shooting someone that was running away. He walked up to somebody else, hitting them in the leg to make them stumble, then spinning and grabbing a knife, before plunging it through their head with ease. Another ran towards him, but he dodged, kicking them in the chest, before flipping them over his shoulder and aiming a pistol to their head. "Have mercy! I have no doubt you with bring peace, as the prophecy foretold, but what reason do you have to kill me?"
"The funny thing about mercy is, the ones that ask for it are never the ones that deserve it."
The shot rang out before going quiet.

"Where are we?" Asked Jerry, looking at Henry. "I don't know." Henry replied.
Everything around them was white, not a single thing was any other color other than them. Everything around them spun, color weaving itself into reality with every second until they were viewing the desert from above. "What the-" Jerry began to say, but stopped as his eyes fixed on a figure.
"Sergeant..." he whispered. Henry stared at Jerry, although Jerry never stared back.
"Ares told me about sergeant." He said, nervously biting his lip, afraid of Jerry's response. To his surprise, Jerry just said "I've seen that before."
Henry was confused. Seen what?
"We passed where sergeant was...yesterday." to his horror, he realized Jerry was right. They had passed where they were viewing sergeant the day before...

"This whole town is now under new leadership." stated the man in flak.
"My leadership."
"Whatever you wish, sir. Just give us the peace the prophecy told of. My apologies for your rude welcoming, we did not recognize you."
The man glared at the nervous soldier, who was unable to stare back into his eyes and looked at the ground.
To everyone's surprise, a figure approached the town.
Sergeant.
He walked up to them saying "I will do what you require, as long as you quench my thirst. My throat has been dry and my tears nonexistent."
"We will do as you ask."
Christmas time. Had just caught a gift from Raptor Clause. I open it... Behold! An ascendant Gacha saddle! I absentmindedly posted about it in chat. One of the Alpha tribes was like, âOOH! What armor is it!?!â And Iâm like, âYeah, them Gachas for a war mount on PVE...â everyone laughed, including the guy who asked.
It ate my walls killed me and when I respawned it pooped cystals on me
