If you get kicked off and it starts walking away instead of burying itself, leave render in any direction except upwards. Doesn't work if you leave render vertically.
To tame this beast, your going to need C4’s or other explosives. BUT, you have to wait for him to dig under the ground and make a full pile of dirt. after that, you can ride it. when your riding it, hit a bunch of stuff to get its torpor up. DO NOT HIT TREES OR RUINS, IT WILL DISMOUNT YOU
Lv 20 On 1.5x tame-after knock out by riding into rocks- cook prime= 10% per bite; raw prime 20% per bite
You need to blow it up to tame
If you wa T to know how to tame it f ing blow it up and ride it like a f ing cowboy and smash it into a bunch of f ing rocks
This thing has the worst taming method, who ever thought this was a good idea?
I feed mine prime meat and that worked pretty good 99% tame. I found over by blue ob is the easiest with all the rocks along the desert just watch out for unbreakable rocks. But I would suggest 100 meat in the inventory and 3 canteens or 500 cactus sap.
140 took 5 exceptional kibble (yellow) to tame on 3x.
Easy max level Faso solo:
Prep: Make a lot of grenades i used 30 for a max level. But i'd bring more just in case.
Bring an argentavis and make it follow you on passive while you sand surf your Faso, however note that the Faso is faster so my Argy sometimes fell behind and i had to run like hell if the Faso dismounted me.
Steps:
When you find your Faso scout for the nearest grassy patch on the Sand Dunes, you will knock him out using exclusively these salt nodes.
Pull Faso out of sand with grenade and steer him towards the sand dunes towards the first salt nodes. Break all of those nodes and choose a side of the desert to follow and sand surf. You will always surf on the dunes trying to find the nearest salt nodes try to avoid inland as much as you can. You can use trees, some bones and stone to build your control meter as you look for the next salt nodes.
If the Faso dismounts you dont worry just get on your Argy and fly high to lose aggro, while you do this look around to see if you can spot the nearest salt node. The Faso loses torpidity extremely slow even while walking around so you have time, you also dont lose taming effectiveness when he dismounts you or when using explosives to get him out so its impossible to mess it up.
Rinse and repeat. He eats prime meat so when you finally get him to sleep just go crazy on the snakes around the desert.
Take your time and have fun surfing, it's not a chore its a good time surfing a big lizard on the desert. Now i bring a couple grenades around just to start the taming process on random Fasos and have fun surfing them wild sand lizard stallions.
Use explosive to shoot it while buried, after it's done creating quick sand as it un burys, you will attempt to ride it, after on steer it into BREAKABLE nodes (metal being best) to deal torpor damage. If you hit a non breakable surface you will be kicked off and must repeat process.
While it's burrowed, use any form of explosive to push it out of the sand. Run up to it, click interact and ride it. Anything you break will restore your Control to max, but might not give a lot of torpor. Pure stone gives the least, and the rocks will give more depending on how much stone it would give. Salt, Crystal, and Metal nodes give much more torpor with Crystal and Metal being the highest.
For a strategy, grab onto it, pick up rocks on the way to restore control, and steer it into an area with plenty of salt, crystal, or metal. Continue to hit those until it's knocked out. The high levels WILL take a very long time, and speed also seems to be a factor. If you go downhill, it speeds up, and if you hit something when you are faster, it gives more torpor. For optimal torpor, try and get max downhill speed and hit metal.
This is one of the most annoying tames I have ever tried. I’m on Ragnarok and it took me over 30 mins of effort to knock him out. It took me over 3 hours of looking to even find a level 130. Honestly. The torpor rate Is absolutely ridiculous. You get a sliver if you knock the boggin into metal and obsidian. It does help the knockout process go faster. Not looking forward to taming another😭
This is an interactive knock out dino, lob a basic grenade into the small sand piles out in the desert. Then run straight at it and mount the Dino, now hold on right and drive it straight into rocks, metal and salt nodes. Metal is best, followed by salt then rocks.
Use rocks to maintain the control bar while you surf for metal and salt.
Go into settings and make sure textures are set to high n above.. map becomes more defined can easily see where salt etc is in desert this way.
Also make sure to bring sleeping bags, when u knock it out u can end up underneath it unable to move placing a bag n throwing inventory saves u flying bk over
Metal nodes will knock it out faster than both stone and salt
Note it can be taming by feeding it cooked meat or cooked prime meat when unconscious
This thing is so hard to tame WILDCARD FIX THIS
