These things are the assholes of the ocean. If they hit you ONCE, you’re done. Especially while farming pearls in Viking bay on rag.

Great for farming Black Pearls for end game items such as the Tek Replicator, but they are very hard to find underwater so finding them can be a challenge. If you’re looking for these creatures I’d recommend scuba gear and high level water dinos just in case you run into a situation with a aggressive water dinos (Mosas, Plesis, Megladons, Squids, and etc.) One more tip, don’t let the Eurypterid attack, because of their poisonous attacks that can knock you out using a crossbow to kill them from a range is highly suggested.

Kill and harvest with metal hatchet you’ll get 2-4 black pearls and 20-30 silica along with about 80 chitin on one times. Don’t get hit though. My trick is to swim because they can’t come directly up and won’t touch me. To get more pearls get an otter.

These lil tranqing bois can’t swim up I recommend swimming above them or to the surface and use ur best crossbow

Swim away as fast as you can...this thing will wreck havoc on all your water takes, it’s the criminal mastermind behind cynadria and the eels

best way to kill us cross bow because no one in this game is lifeless enough to make a harpoon gun

These things knock you out and look like lobsters avoid them at all costs

You can kill these creatures and harvest black pearls from them! Be careful though, they do torpor when they hit you and when they swarm you they can do a lot of damage! ~L

You can find them at the bottom of the ocean. But on Ragnarok I've noticed they are sometimes in Viking bay. Be careful these things are the troodons of the sea they'll knock you out

You can take a fish basket from aberration and into another map and tame it that way super hard though cause the knock you out unrideable though

Saw some of them at the beach in viking bay. They were just floating over the sand. They can poison you.

Otter gathers black pearls from this at higher rates! I like to kill them and then have the otter harvest them it gets way more than harvesting it yourself!

Using a Bronto, wade into the water and let them come to you. The swipe of the tail can kill multiple at a time, allowing you to hop off and harvest them with your metal pick for sweet sweet black pearls. Within a few minutes, I had ~500 chitin and just under 20 black pearls. This works best in Viking Bay 3 on Ragnarok.
