Warning there is a big glitch with them; when encountered they will charge BUT the glitch is they follow you onto land and they are pretty hard to kill without good gear

Best way I’ve seen to hunt these is to swim a short way into the water and peg it with a crossbow bolt, that way it Aggros to you and swims to shallow water where you can finish it off and collect those black pearls, be careful though, it doesn’t do a lot of damage but it will knock you out in one hit, and can follow you onto land.

They give black pearls when killed! Swim down on a dolphin, grapple one of these suckers, and bring em back to shore to kill with a waiting dino. Also, as of Aberration launch, might be possible to tame using a fish basket??
