When I was trying to find and tame my first equus it was pretty rare and always spawn near the raptors,therizeno,spinos,rexes,allos and other deadly Predators. But after I've tamed one I saw 3 equus spawning near Peaceful rivers many times lol

Tip for begginers-equus spawn mostly near rivers or forests. Before taming, you should watch the area carefully or else maybe when you have almost tamed an equus a carnivore may come out of nowhere and ruin your taming, Because most of the times I saw them spawning near rivers spinos there. But if you have Argy then just pick up equus and put it into a taming pen and there you go.

And also use kibble or carrots to tame it. Don't use berries otherwise it will take whole day to tame an equus.

Yall. This isnt simple. Only those who have actually tamed these know the pain. Ecspecially on mobile. Pain, and frustration.. Dismounting by feeding it rockarrots accidentally... PAIN. But they are worth it. Low hp, but massive torpor. Low attack too.. And also, they are fast, but at the same time slow, so I guess you could say their speed is MEDIUM. Also, they run so close to danger, you sometimes sweat in rl Happened for me)..

Take a argentavis and take it home which is easy to tames these guys

A Rex was easier to tame then this guy

Taming it is fairly easy. First they are unique passive tame. They do take rockarots as the second best feed from troodon kibbles. Thou the type of food you feed them doesn't affect the taming effectiveness, it's best to use their preferred food to reduce time spending on their back taming it. It's effectiveness depend solely on how many times you fall off its back. So, get sneaky and sneak up on them, put food in 0 shortcut slot. feed them the first one and move closer to ride. Look at the bottom left of the screen. When it promts to be fed again, press e to keep it calm. Beware, pressing e when it does not want treat will unmount the tame and you will lose effectiveness by a lot. It is recommened to use quetzel to bring it to your own taming pen. During the tame it will run pointlessly in any direction and may run into predators if taming in wild. If you happen to do so in the wild, take another tribe mate with you to take care of the surroundings.

If you are on a map like Val or Rag that spawns carrots in the wild the grab a few of those, don’t waste your time with berries and make it an easy tame

Tbh, the equus has a terrible spawn. It spawns near almost anything dangerous you can think of.

make sure you have carrots, they like very much, to catch an Equus as soon as you simply approach from behind and ride them if they try to endanger you feed a carrot🥕🥕

When you see a dead equus on the ground it means run for your life there was a family of Rex's so there's your tip.

Here's a quick tip:

Don't mount an equus while trying to tame it.

Instead walk up to it (Don't let it bump into you) and feed it. Taming progress is twice as high when you tame them this way.

It’s not too easy to find an equus on the island, when you do, they are normally in dangerous areas such as near swamps, ravines, in the depths of the jungle, and grasslands/fields. So I’d say hop on argentavis and carry it, fly home or to an enclosed structure and drop it off there, making it easy for you to keep it and you safe AND if it kicks you off, it can’t run far! And if you’re looking for rock carrots to tame it with, I’d say grow them, inside a greenhouse for a 2x growing effect, I make more than 200 rock carrots off of one plant! ~Hope this helped!

i tamed one of these guys and i named it [It looks like a zebra more than a horse]

It's got a lot of horsepower so you can out run the fastest of dinos.

Taming this thing on ark mobile is way harder than pc or xbox because in ark mobile the taming effectiveness doesn't show and there is no option when to feed it they just buck and kick you off and lose some effectiveness taming eqqus in ark mobile can be tricky as it requires quick reflexes one fast movements and lose some of the taming effectiveness just do one thing carry 40-50 rockcarrots and feed it and one text will pop up ' wait until it's hungry' ride it until it bucks (do not get kicked as it will lose your progress and effectiveness too jo dismount and mount is asap and it will start running again and dismount until it's hungy again and repeat the process and you have a eqqus but note that if there is a eqqus there is a herd of fkin allosaurus and if you are playing on ragnorak , highland N there might be giganotosaurus as well and this stupid creature always runs on gigas or allos and gets them killed if u are high level and have equipments just kill that allos as u can't kill giga on your own if there is giga just leave that equus and find another one in a safe place where there is threat as if there's a giga it has 0% chance of surviving better taming just use arge if u have one tamed and put it on passive tame traps and tame it safely without travelling the whole map with uncontrollable equus who always runs over predators and gets killed and left you alone infront of a herd of allos or a giga itself. I had a challenge to tame this on mobile and it took me 120 mins to tame a 289 lvl equus (ragnorak).

My Argy can't pickup it in switch :( and I play Scotched Earth ,there so many Carnivores :((( i don't know how to do
